I have one of these: http://gaming.logite...anced-gameboard

but don't use it because I prefer M&K. I didn't grow up with a controller in my hand like you young folks. :P

Mouse + keyboard, wouldn't know what to do with a controller.  Games made for controller and afterwards ported to pc are unplayable for me.  Sadly those games are predominant now and games with deasent mouse + keyboard configuration are in decline.  So possibility of gaming is getting narrower and narrower.  I also have a hard time to understand what is so alluring about a controller.

Controllers are good(and better than mouse + keyboard) only in fighting and sport games. Period. Mouse + keyboard are also infinitely better for shooters, RTS and RPGs.

Unfortunately from what we've seen it hasn't been optimized for keyboard and mouse -- if it was there would be no need for a tab icon on the screen as the keyboard has the nifty tab key.

It looks like the interface has been optimized for controller play regardless of platform.

It is too bad for those who enjoy the customization of the PC and the refined control that a keyboard and mouse can offer.

Honestly, I don't have a problem with both.

I can play with M&K as well as with controller(Playstation), it's just a matter of your personal preference.

However, I'm not familiar with Xbox contoller, since I never owned one and probaly never will own one

What's better about controllers for playing fighting games? I don't really play those myself.

If they said they were going to do a hairstyle pack for character creation as DLC for like 99 cents or something I'd be already sold on the PS4 version.

I need to see the character creator first.

I'll be using mouse and Keyboard primarily, but there will be times i just want to sit back, relax and use the gamepad, as i have wanted to do with past ME and DA titles.

The great thing about PC gaming is the freedom of choice (usually).

Many games play better on the mouse and keyboard, while many other games play better on the Gamepad. Driving games and fighting games to name just 2.

You can't really do the circular (Half, full, DP, etc) motions reliably on a keyboard. I mean, it's doable, just nowhere near as easy as on fightstick or Pad.

I always use a mouse and keyboard, unless we are dealing with an action game. Playing any of the Batman Arkham games on a mouse and keyboard is unbearable. Controller is the only way to go for those kind of games as they are built for console. We'll have to see how action-oriented the combat in DAI has become. It still seems to be largely based on positioning and activating skills, so a mouse and keyboard will likely be the optimal choice.

The person who got it for me likes it better for gaming than a mouse and keyboard *shrug*. I don't like it that much. But yeah, it's like a controller/keyboard hybrid. Third option!

It makes no sense for the tab icon to be there, but I assume we will still have the tab key as well, since you have to hold it down to look for stuff

If you say so. No Mass Effects and Jade Empires for you then. <-)
