I can't imagine that would be an issue. The horns all come from the same point, and they stick out far enough from the head to separate from the hair entirely.
Even if it were an issue, they could make a long hairstyle that was shorter on the sides. "Problem" solved.
Yeah it would be like any graphical element being too close to another.

Yes they do:
Exactly. I wouldn't have as much of an issue if the long hair was restricted to hornless Qunari.
But we don't long hair at all?
Seriously?

Awesome preview today! Love the character creation. A lot better than I'd hoped for. Mike and Cameron did a great job at showing a lot of stuff off. We really will see some very unique characters for sure in DA:I. Everyday I get a little more excited about this game and luckily everyday we're just a little bit closer to release date.

Yeah, how dare people be upset that they can't make their character appear how they want, especially when those options are available to other races.
Other races don't have horns.

Other races don't have horns.
Qunari can also not have horns.
Even then they're stuck with really short hair.

Chin length, almost. I was thinking down to your chest region.
It goes further than the chin. You see it go behind the shoulders.

Obviously I'm not expecting anything amazing or revolutionary, like TressFX. I'm just talking about having one or two longer hairstyle options, using the same fidelity as they have for the other races. From the Fallow Mire videos we know for a fact that female humans have at least one longish hairstyle. I feel it would not be difficult at all to provide a similar hairstyle for qunari and adjust it slightly so it doesn't clip with the horn options they have clearly already designed.

Guard for warriors sounds really cool. Love the various methods of preventing damage they are introducing to balance the decreased focus on healing abilities and regenerating health.

I was expecting a glorious mane a la Arishok on my female qunari but i think i can go with short haired this time... still sad though. :/

not really since you get horns... I mean I never planned on playing qunari but if I did I wouldn't let hair stop me, it's not like she's miss maybeline anyway....Only four hairstyles options, all short... do you really not see the issue here? You don't think it's strange that there doesn't seem to be a single long hair option?

Qunari can also not have horns.
Even then they're stuck with really short hair.
You might be pleasantly surprised at launch if they add more hornless hair options.

Exactly.
Just have the hair parted so it flows back and doesn't mesh with the horns.
Since the horns and hair are all in one that wouldn't have been impossible to design.
Even then I'm not going to get angry at slight clipping. As long as it's not obscene I'll live.
You might be pleasantly surprised at launch if they add more hornless hair options.
I hope that's the case. But with less than 2 months to go I'm not that hopeful.

The important part, in this case, from that article is this
In games, this doesn’t work because we can only animate based on a finite number of animation bones. If the model doesn’t have bones attached, it won’t move. It will clip through the character model’s shoulders, back, arms, etc. And it looks almost comically awful if the character turns or tilts his or her head because it doesn’t move, like helmet hair. It will look especially bad if you have outfits or models that don’t play well with big or long hair. It’s one of the reasons why most games keep hair short. It’s also one of the minor reasons why so many protagonists are male - men in western society tend to have much shorter hair than women, so you don’t need a complicated animation rig to handle realistic-looking hair.
So yes hair is a pain in the ass to handle, clipping with the horns probably was too much of a pain to handle and they choose to use short version for cutting the problem.

I am loving everything about the combat, gonna to start on hard and die a lot of times just for fun. Also the CC seems really good, I was not expecting so much.
Does anyone know if they release already the specs for PC?

I find it amusing how hair is going to be the deciding factor between whether someone plays a race or not. Never mind the story potential or class building.
I'm playing a character I'm going to be staring at for 50+ hours. Yes looks are a very deciding factor on whether I'll play that character.
If you're different that's great. But how my character looks is important to me.
