@NedPepper: But as you already concede - you haven't played Inquisition. So your opinion about what the game will and will not allow is purely conjecture.
What you "can" say - is that you don't have any concept of how the game could provide as many options as the type of gameplay you're accustomed to.

I was nothing but excited about what I watched here.
The CC was amazing - I've got my very pale skin (still no albino, but that's rare) - scars - broken noses - etc. SO - I'm totally good.
The items looked great (not a monster fan of the sword - but the coat looked awesome)
Combat seems like total fun. I'm not a fan of combat obstacle courses - but, if I can do things like have Cassandra force him to turn and make him vulnerable to me archers - it's totally something I can get into.
And they say very clearly how poorly they're playing. Honestly - when he starts, he looses no health what so ever. And you know, I bet if you play your hardest - you can avoid losing health through a great deal of any particular area (again, I haven't played).
That the game centers around prevention instead of reaction is a great change of pace for me.
That the fighters seem to be able to actually mitigate damage actively instead of just having some "Armor" numbers (which assuredly they do have) seems like a great addition to the fighter.
Honestly - I think they secretly started looking at how tabletop gaming is played co-operatively and developed the new fighting system.
Even on Nightmare I almost never cared what my allies were doing in DA:O or DA:2... and I cannot, in a million years, imagine that's because I'm just SUCH a great player. The games, to me, were made to rather simply encourage some mashing of buttons. If you REALLY wanted to be tedious... just give your characters all range and have them pick one enemy at a time out of many encounters in DA:O and you'll just off them one by one.
Anyway - literally everything they've mentioned so far has me absolutely stoked for DA:I. It's a shame that my company is very centralized around the Christmas season and the moment DA:I comes out I'll will be up to my eyeballs in work. But come Dec. 25th... I'll truly be enjoying Christmas in Thedas.
