The two tone eyes option was a nice addition to the CC.
I'll probably spend most of my time tinkering with the eyes until they're GORGEOUS.

DAO was tuned to require such usage of healing and potions. This is a different game with different rules. You now have access to powerful defensive and repositioning abilities. In DA2, barrier reduced damage while in DAI it absorbs damage. See the difference?I actually have no idea what Easy is like in Dragon Age: Inquisition. All I've seen really is Cameron playing on Normal. Perhaps the other demos were on Easy. Don't know. BTW, I rarely ever used Wynne in DA:O. I used potions. Although, I damn sure used Wynne and Shale with ice crystals to take on the High Dragon outside the Urn of Sacred Ashes temple. Go fight that dragon with a limited number of potions and no healing.
A grind, in my eyes, is playing a game for hours while being unsatisfied or frustrated at the gameplay, when you just want to advance the story. I would call parts of the Deep Roads a grind. I would also call the Fade in Origins a grind. So much so people modded it out of the game.
Now, go play those parts without potions.
By removing healing and limiting potions, to make the game work, they've probably had to change the gameplay significantly. There's now a 'set' way to play the game. I would imagine, based on what I've seen about the gameplay on both single player and multiplayer is that cross class combos have become essential. They've always been there, and if you played on Hard or Nightmare, you took advantage of them. But you didn't have to use them.
Healing gave you another option in how you played the game. That's what it's really about, I think. It was the diversity in party build and how you wanted to go about playing. It was about...I hate to say it...choice.
So I don't know if anyone else heard, but looks like enchantments on weapons (like the fiery great sword) are handled by rings. Kinda like Celene's rings in The Masked Empire.
Which makes me super excited.
I believe he said "rune", not "ring" ![]()
That was in the section where they got a fan question about crafting, if I remember correctly.
(Maybe an Australian accent thing.)
It sounds like rings can provide big bonuses, but runes are definitely still available.
The you just have to accept that having a qunari with long hair simply isn't possible.
Just as customisable body types aren't possible, and dual-wield warriors aren't possible, and dwarven mages aren't possible, etc.
There are lots of things that simply aren't possible in this game. You just have to make the most of what you do have.
This is wise.

but the biggest question is, do we find out where runes come from?

I wonder if the qunari face paint (Vitaar) will have a purpose other than it being cosmetic, since it's made out of a poisonous substance maybe it will affect characters within melee range or if they're doing melee damage to the qunquisitor?
They really didn't mention what purpose it serves.. ![]()

It's their version of wearing helmets so I assume they'll have stats and stuff
I edited the main theme song in the stream video, made it a whole and uploaded it to youtube if anyone wants to hear the whole song.
Oh, I love that one!

The eeeeeeyyyyyyyeeeeeesssss. Oh the eyes. I will have so much fun with the two toned eyes.
*claps* Great job Bioware! Really looking forward to the CC!
Speak for yourself, that armour looks cool as hell.
He looked like a clown. I guess the human Inquisitor goes to the meeting as a court jester. Did you see his shoes???
and still a month and a half away....

My goodness. This character creation is out of this world. Does every studio have their own source code for their character creation that they don't share? Is there even a character creation engine?
Probably tied to the game engine.

His South Australian accent is still strong enough for when he said Tatoos it was more like Tadooz.

"Not possible" I give modders a day before they figure out how to get the other races hair styles working on qunari and their horns.

looking at some of the hair option for humans, a lot of those hair styles would clash with the horns because the bangs would go straight through the base of the horns.. some are a bit meh in terms of whether or not they'd clash(it'd depend on how sensitive you are to it, if you want it to look perfect) while others seem like they'd be ok.

Modding Frostbite is basically impossible.

True, but it's losing its native twang, slowly, but surely. If you go outside and listen to an aussie guy speaking, and then listen to him when he speaks: the twang is much weaker..its going all soft.
He should come back to his homeland for PAXAUS before he loses it forever. ![]()
buthedropbearsmightattackhimnow..

I should have posted this here rather than in the Twitter thread, but you know how it is when you get chatting
.
I think Human Male Head 1: Default is confirmed as the Inquisitor used in the Trailers:

Not entirely on topic, but where is that picture from? (the whole cast pic/ expanded cover)
The character creator totally has me freaking out. It looks so pretty. I will lose days to it before I even start playing.
Oh wow, this CC & demo video is amazing... I'll be playing this game forever. ![]()
Awesome stuff, BioWare!
