Modding Frostbite is basically impossible.

Sure it is. Devs typically aren't too keen on people messing about with their game, so of course they'll say stuff like "Oh it can't be modded." but time and again, the mod community has shown their skill and dedication to this kind of stuff. If not on the first day, I expect some very basic mods(like the swapping of human hair onto qunari) will have popped up on the Nexus.

looking at some of the hair option for humans, a lot of those hair styles would clash with the horns because the bangs would go straight through the base of the horns.. some are a bit meh in terms of whether or not they'd clash(it'd depend on how sensitive you are to it, if you want it to look perfect) while others seem like they'd be ok.

It was mainly these three that I saw that I thought could be made to work with the qunari

Granted, like you said with the clipping, it really depends on what you're willing to put up with or how much the hairs can be edited.

I am dissapointed in this livestream. They only created two ugly characters and showed some shallow combat gameplay in some half empty ruins. At least I expected that system reqarements will be revealed  but no, that didnt happened either.

Bioware, when "advertising" the event, only said they were going to show the Character Creator and a new area, not yet seen in any previous demo/trailer.  They accomplished both those tasks.  So if you were disappointed with the two "ugly characters" (Human Clown Monstrosity a complete given  :D ) and the empty ruins, that is understandable and you can have that opinion.

However, they never said they were going to make any kind of announcement about system requirements.  So I am not sure where you got that expectation from.

I think the character creation looks pretty damn good. Can't wait to try it out.

There was rumor in this forum that Bioware may announce system requarements in monday. I expected that will be during livestream, guess I was mistaken.

I edited the main theme song in the stream video, made it a whole and uploaded it to youtube if anyone wants to hear the whole song.

I love you.

Love the CC.

The scars are especially awesome. Can't wait to do a human (or dwarven?) reaver playthrough with a massively scarred face. My only complaint would be the lack of hairstyles for Qunari, but as I planned for a male Qunari anyway, bald with massive horns is fine.

LOL, I'm never going to play the actual game because I'll spend all the time in the CC.

To be fair, it was a BW dev who said they were hoping to give us an update today. But it wasn't a promise by any stretch.

He looked like a clown. I guess the human Inquisitor goes to the meeting as a court jester. Did you see his shoes???

Bah, you have no taste!

I spent about six minutes on Aedan Cousland and five seconds (as long as it took to click "Default") with Garrett Hawke, but this CC looks kind of amazing and I will likely dabble for over half an hour for a change.

Of course, it could be that my theory about the Inquisitor being a Fade spirit with a case of confused identity has legs to stand on, which would explain why we would start playing after the blast. The Inquisitor has no BEFORE the blast. ;)

YUSSSSSS. Someone else shares this theory!

*crackpot fistbump*

Seriously though, if that's the intro, it really increases the likelihood of the Inquisitor being a Cole-like entity.

Up until this point, we've only seen spirits close tears in the Veil, either directly or by modifying the party's weapons. Mortals just have to abandon an area if the Veil rips open; it would seem that mages (even the ones that commune with spirits) have no way of fixing it.

At this point, I would not be surprised if the Inquisitor's body and backstory belong to someone who genuinely died in the blast. We know from Justice and Cole that spirits can have very vivid, personal memories of their host's experiences, whether they possess the body or just copy it. But that would mean that the person attending the peace conference wasn't us, so it would be weird to have control over that character. The Inquisitor's existence would begin exactly when that body stands up... which, coincidentally, is when the game seems to start.

In short: crackpot theory machine go! Full steam ahead!

The point of the livestream demonstration was to highlight some of the customization possibilities, NOT to entirely reveal every single permutation. It was a "reveal," not a whole kit and kaboodle. I admit that I would have loved to see dwarves and elves too, but I was able to glean sufficient excitement over the new character creator mechanics; so in my opinion it succeeded admirably.

No.

Modding Frostbite is virtually impossible. It took Battlefield modders the better part of a year to change the lighting in some levels, and neither EA, DICE nor Bioware are providing mod tools.

Not believing what I'm telling you won't change it.

Nothing much to add but that I really enjoyed the livestream. I was completely blown away by the CC demo. The characters look amazing, scars look real, the Qunari horns are beautiful and I can't wait to make my F!Qunari mage (first playthrough!). I also got a kick out of Mike and Cameron's banter, lol. It was great to see more areas too.

Is it November yet?!
