I remember what a nightmare The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion's CC was (well, still is, but it's easier once you get used to it and learn not to expect too much). Every single slider seemed to affect every other slider at the worst possible opportunity.

 

I agree. Oblivion will always hold a special place in my heart for introducing me to single player RPGs but CC in that always dfeels like some necessary evil.

I agree. Oblivion will always hold a special place in my heart...

My brain automatically turned 'my heart' into 'Hell', which is far more reflective of my opinion of its CC, I guess. I was so excited when i cracked open Skyrim and was able to make a character that didn't look like a ghoul that has strayed out of Fallout, but I do hate the way many their sliders are co-dependent.
 

Character creation looking good so far.  But how about the ability to save it or save different versions as you gradually changes stuff?  God. How much I hated it in most character creations that when you accidentally click something it go back to default or whatever and you have to start all over again after spending a lot amount of time tweaking your character.

 

 

SWTOR's CC, which was nowhere near this detailed, had the ability to 'Lock' choices once you were happy with them, so that you could move on without accidentally screwing them up. It was really nice when there was like, 30 complexion options and slider bars that were somehow giant targets for my fat-fingered mousing technique. Sadly, in these screenshots I don't see such a feature. :\

Oh. My. God.  She is AMAZING looking!  I am seriously rethinking my femquisitor playthrough now.  I was dead set on doing a lady dwarf, but this qunari gal is gorgeous and awesome and.....I just can't.  Wow!

 

This CC livestream is EXACTLY what I've been waiting for!  I'm so damned excited.  This is going to be so cool.

 

Please, PLEASE show the male qunari and female dwarf options!  PLEASE!!!!

So there is a "hair color" option, but no "hair style" option.  I guess that the hair styles are on a different page.  I'm really interested in seeing the hair styles for qunari.  It's been pretty slim pickings so far (mostly bald, except for gal from the gameplay footage a few weeks back.

That's Actually strange, since 'hairs' are located over 'hair color' for humans.

Absolutely! I've learned to always dial it down with the make up because it has a way of coming out in game as very shocking and overdone.

 

My question, though, is when do we create the character in game? I'm really, really hoping that's the first thing we do.
