Plot twist 2: I don't have the Venom shotgun

Plot twist 3: I don't have the Carnifex

Plot twist 4: I don't have the Arc pistol

Plot twist 5: I don't have the Paladin

What SMG would you recommend?

N7 Hurricane is great, even at level 1. Blood Pack Punisher is okay.

Well, I was playing her earlier this day and I was quite impressed. I used the Collector SMG, put the attachment that increases magazine size and... the one... that... makes some bullets heat-less?

I haven't got to rank 6 on the Bubble, so I was depending on the Pull-Reave combo, and it was good fun. But then I went to play my Drell Adept and it was about 10x better

Falcon.

Also, your N7 HQ shows that you just have a CSMG I. I wouldn't recommend CSMG at low levels - it's way better once it hits atleast V.

Only use the SMG Magazine Upgrade. The SMG Heat Sink has no effect on the Collector SMG.

The SMG Heat Sink mod doesn't work on the Collector SMG.

The Sabre is quite good on the Justicar and there won't be another plot twist now, right?

Doesn't work on the Collector SMG? Wha-why?! That's where it makes sense!

But no, no plot twists. I am a proud owner of an Ultra Rare assault rifle that I got out of a Reserves Pack.

If it has to be an SMG your Collector SMG would be the best. However its magazine size is utterly useless at Level 1...and 2, 3, 4, 5, too.

Fixed.

of the guns you have Quib, I'd suggest the Mattock or Raptor. CSMG is trash at low levels, and while Saber is good, it is also heavy at Level 1, which will slow how much damage you can inflict via BE's. Tempest is your best bet currently if you want to use SMG (or locust if you can land headshots consistently)

Indeed. The reason why I was reluctant to use the Saber in the first place is because of its weight, since I like my biotics to use biotics.

Will try an SMG.

What you really need is just a friend to play an Asari Adept, Human Sentinel, or any other biotic with a rapid cooldown detonator to follow you around and detonate targets you Reave.

I've tried heat sink on the Acolyte. Hilarious. Landed 10 shots before expending a bullet. :)

Anyways, CSMG is pretty terrible at level, but it's not the worst. Hurricane would be the most viable at level despite it's weight and accuracy. Tempest is also a great gun that is underrated.

I used the Tempest almost exclusively until I started unlocking URs.  It's a decent mid-tier SMG

This is how my Justicar is set up. Does equally well offensively by chaining biotic explosions with reave/bubble/reave as well as defensively by having solid DR from both the bubble and reave. It's much more effective with at least one more biotic in the lobby since Reave and the bubble pull double duty. That is, they are both primers and detonators.

As for what gun to use, I'd go with the either the Saber, or if you're looking for a gun that's a little more forgiving then the Mattock. The weight difference b/w the two isn't all that big and I wouldn't worry about it too much when choosing b/w the two. I wouldn't take an SMG until you unlocked the piercing barrel attachment for it. Without it you will pretty much have to equip an armor piercing ammo or you'll find it difficult dealing with armored targets.

I would take Reave 5a. 0.25sec CD reduction isn't going to be particularly noticable

When playing aggressively the kills will come one after another, and cooldown matters.  Furthermore, on Platinum life and death hangs in the balance, and can depend on whether or not the Pull or Bubble is ready in time

Indeed, in that case, 0.25 seconds is a lot more noticeable and more important than 10% damage reduction, even though that 10% is better the more DR you have

CD Reduction only matters when it comes to heavier loadout, only then does it start subtracting the cooldown by seconds and not milliseconds.

This is blatantly incorrect.

Average human reaction time is 150 milliseconds or 0.15 seconds, and faster for good players.  Cooldown will matter because phantoms,  etc. have cooldowns of their own and there is a sweet spot depending on the power between player maneuverability, shield recharge, dodge recovery, combo cooldown, the enemies and difficulty level etc for what is desired to be achieved

For example, on Platinum, the melee Krosol will be better off with sub ~3.45 second Carnage cooldown, because it will be needed to chain kill groups of mooks in time, spamming heavy melee DR, keeping phantoms etc on the backpedal, even though technically it might only be for example a 10% faster cooldown, and even if Carnage is meh by itself

The AR justicar goes Pull-less and can still succeed on Platinum.

Bubble + Reave + Warp ammo + Particle Rifle and right hand advantage

However, when played skillfully Justicar can be an aggressive close combat class on Platinum and kill faster.

Pull is always worth at least three points. You can sacrifice a little fitness and be fine still. Learn to use pull and an acolyte together then you and your team will get more survivability as well than those few points in fitness. Justicar is still one of the easiest kits to solo Platinum with and is the tankiest adept IMHO.

Couple ways

1- Mook Asploder.  Acolyte Pistol for Shields/Barriers, then Pull -> Reave.  Switch to a Piercing SMG for bosses.  Pair with biotic teammates and spam Reave while they spam Dark Channel or Warp or whatever.

2- Radius Warp Bubble.  You can Reave -> Bubble -> Reave for combos against all defense types, even armor.  It is a high risk high reward playstyle.

I like to do a combination of these two.  I use the Acolyte in combination with a Hurricane, BPP, or CSMG, with Warp Ammo, specced either 6/6/6/4/4 or 6/6/4/6/4.  Mostly, I go around Acolyte/Pull/Reave-ing all the mooks and let PUGs focus on the bosses.  This tends to work pretty well, as PUGs generally like to focus on bosses anyway and get killed by the mooks.  I'm saving them from their fate.  For bosses, I try to use a combination of Warp Bubble debuff, Reave DOT, Reave/Bubble explosions, and SMG fire to take them down.

Warp Ammo is essential for this build against any enemy except Geth.  Even against Geth, I still think it's the best, but I could see using Disruptor against them.  Works best against Cerberus, because the Acolyte trivializes Phantoms, and Atlases are easy to keep in the Bubble.  Dragoons are a challenge if you can't switch to your SMG fast enough.  I just Reave them at a distance, shoot them (with Warp ammo bonus), then dodge them if they get close and drop a bubble on their head for a BE.
