What you want we have Sebastian in DA2. And  Morrigan is very good example, all romance start only after sex.Friendship we already have it I mostly liked Alistair and Varric.

Actual romance and uncomplicated friendship are both good, but if the romance should logically lead to sex, it should lead to sex. I don't necessarily have to watch the sex, because the sex shouldn't be the point. That said, we should know that it happened, and while a poorly done sex scene can be lame a poorly done copout to avoid it is no better.

If anything, most Dragon Age fans are either apathetic about the Witcher, or are fans themselves. The ones who dislike Witcher usually have intelligent arguments for their dislike (you may disagree with them, which is fine, but they're still valid arguments with thought put behind them). Even the ones who like the Witcher are able to stand back and acknowledge the flaws in the games while still enjoying them.

 

Witcher fans, however, have a very vocal number that feel the need to bash Dragon Age at every opportunity, with little to no actual intelligent arguments...honestly I think the thing holding me back from enjoying Witcher as much as I would is the fact that its fanbase turns me off. Same with Dark Souls; I think I'd like that game more if it didn't have fans that were incredibly elitist and refuse to acknowledge any flaws.

 

Dragon Age: Origins is my favorite game, and I can still step back and see that it's not perfect.

 

There are plenty of people on this forum that are the same, but bioware fans.

I have it on good authority from someone who has seen some of the romance scenes that there is in fact bare breast and rear nudity (both male and female) in those scenes.

 

The person who I was talking to said specifically that they did not shy away from the nudity in those scenes and that unlike past games where they used shadows, clever angles, and underwear to cover nudity, in DA: I, you do get to see nudity in a sexualized context.  Nothing is graphic regarding the actual actions, but there is definitely nudity.

The person who I was talking to said specifically that they did not shy away from the nudity in those scenes and that unlike past games where they used shadows, clever angles, and underwear to cover nudity, in DA: I, you do get to see nudity in a sexualized context.  Nothing is graphic regarding the actual actions, but there is definitely nudity.

And we should believe you, why? Because if it's just because you've said that you have it on "good authority" then I have it on good authority that you can in fact make Iron Bull throw Sera as a special tag team move.

Anyway, I don't mind nudity and I find it amusing when some people do. Hide the children, there are breasts on the screen! Oh, no, there are two people having sex. Their fragile minds will be forever ruined! Decapitations, you say? No, those are perfectly fine.

So if you are telling the truth, this is someone who has been to the bioware studios. Signed the nda and played the game, who then broke it to tell you about it?

I don't want to get into more detail that this because I'm not sure how much information my friend was supposed to reveal and, to be honest, I don't have much more detail, but if anyone is interested in getting a little more detail, feel free to PM me.  Again, I don't have much more information and there are no spoilers or anything.  Just a little more detail about what you see in just a couple of the romance scenes.  Nothing major.

Well, except this is a game; one that children can possibly witness. And these are similar to the same kinds of arguments heard from those that peddle porn. Prefer other interests.

While virtual sexual content does not bother me as much as profanity, neither strives towards excellence. And one does not have to read posts in gaming forums for too long to see the general maturity of the Players. Given that some act and are mature, it appears that a far greater number fall short of this title.

Ratings do not restrict children from see something while passing through a room or area where the game is being played; even the Devs have allowed children access to the game, though gameplay was monitored.

And one does not have to look at the global condition very far at all to see that violence is also natural to mankind, and all of this content is better having greater restrictions for improved civilized behavior.

Q: One of the things BioWare RPGs are known for is their romance scenes, particularly the PG-13 camera angles and the soft focus Cinemax style approach. Has that changed at all?

 

A: We certainly could push those romance scenes in any direction we wanted really. Something that didn't work well is that we tried more, well I won't say graphic, but in Dragon Age: Origins we had characters crawling around in their underwear and it looked weird because they were wearing these lacy Victoria Secret panties and outfits which looked out of place. Certainly when you have these characters interacting with each other in such an intimate way it's incredibly expensive in terms of animation fidelity and getting it to look like they are really there and touching each other. I think Mass Effect's scenes were done really well and I think we will take Inquisition's scenes in that direction. You might have a nude character but they are framed in such a way that parts of them are in shadow, or having characters in various states of undress.

 

We also want to focus not just on the sex itself, but also that this is the culmination of spending a lot of time with a character and getting to know them, and so we're giving scenes a mature and tasteful treatment I guess. We'll see where it goes for Dragon Age: Inquisition, it's something that we're working on right now so we'll see how these scenes pan out.

In my sickness-addled state, I translated "BW" as Blackwall instead of Bioware, and suddenly was picturing Blackwall as a never-nude gallivanting about in cutoff denim.

And if that child walks in during a scene with graphic violence, it's perfectly fine. No damage done.

And violence is "natural" because we are so desensitized toward it. Violence should NOT be natural.

I agree that the first line of defense are the parents, but not even the best parents can monitor the children 24/7; even those using cages.

But rather than include more of the suspect material, and lessen the restrictions on it, perhaps it would be better to switch those valves to improve things overall.
