As the title says, I just bought the trilogy, on PC. Not for me, I have had each game bought and played on day one for XBox.  I bought them for my wife, who says she couldn't play on the console because, and I quote "I hate aiming, I really suck at it and cannot hit anything with the little stick aim thingy!"  She's been watching me play for years and has tried it, but like I told her, she couldn't hit the broadside of a dreadnaught.  Anyways, now she is playing it, for the first time, and I a kind of jealous.

She gets to discover new things and experience one of the greatest sci fi stories ever told.  After playing the trilogy multiple times, there is nothing new to discover, no new roads to go down, I have already  done every possible permutation the games have to offer.  I've had straight Shepards, gay Shepards, female Shepards, no romance Shepards.  I've killed Wrex, Kaiden and Ashley.  I killed off my entire crew and Shepard in 2 and tried to upload 3 with that game.  I've romanced everyone at some point.  Cured the genophage, killed off Mordin to prevent the cure.  I've finished 3 with over 8K assets and as little at 1500.  I killed Eve with a giant Turian bomb.  Gave Legion to Cerberus, destroyed the Collector base, and gave it to TIM.  If it could be done in the trilogy, I did it.

She has 100's upon 100's of hours of discovery ahead of her, while I just go through the motions now.  What is there to do now in Mass Effect when you have done every thing?  I suppose, it will be fun watching my wife make all these discoveries for herself.

I know exactly how your wife feels about playing on the console, I hate that little stick aim thingy too :D and I share your feelings of jealousy; I'd love to play the whole trilogy for the first time too.

Could always have her share her experiences in the "what did you do today" thread. Though beware, for here there be spoilers.

I am always torn about replaying a game. On a second and subsequent playthrough a good deal of the joy of discovery is gone. OTOH, the first time you play a game, unless it just duplicates all the mechanics from a previous installment of a series, you have no idea how the world you are playing in works. Which powers/spells/weapons/etc. work best. Where things you need for better gameplay can be found. And so on. So part of the value in replay is just simply getting better. Fortunately, Mass Effect offers more than just that. The gazillion different variations possible in every playthrough have kept me coming back for a very, very long time.

I adapt to both... I'm so glad I can also play it on PC. Admit it, she can do so much more with her game than your Xbox360 versions. :S

I did tell her I was kind of excited about modding the PC version to get Legion early on.   And yes Mike, I did a play through very similar to that.  I killed off EVERYONE with the exception of my LI.

Was your memorial wall completely filled? Since you didn't kill off your love interest, you haven't done everything.

It was pretty darn full.  As for not doing "everything"  oh well, close enough.

The most names that fit on the wall is 50 counting Shepard. Its not that hard to fill the wall. I've done it with Shepard alive(breath scene) and with low ems

I have a friend just starting the trilogy on PC. My fun in that is having him come to me to talk about what he's done and him asking me to clarify things and advice about how to get which outcomes ect. I get to see him go through having to kill Ashley or Kaiden or wreck. I get to discuss at nauseum and it's awesome. I get just as excited as he does
