In retrospect, straight males have Morrigan and Lelianna. Both are pretty awesome. Gays and lesbians only have Zevran/Lelianna. If you don't like the one option you were given, you're boned, which was what happened to me in DAO, I can't stand Zevran, and I like Alistair a lot. I ends up turn straight for Morrigan since I know that Alistair gay mod wouldn't get recognized. In DA2, everyone have equal option but straight female has one more. In DAI, everyone has equal option except straight females have 2 more.
In DA4, everyone will have equal options except straight females who have 3 more. I care more about their personality atm, and I find Cassandra to be totally awesome. As much as I like Iron Bull, he's a Qunari spy who sleeps with anything that moves while I find Dorian to be a bit too feminine for my taste. The point is we both have things we don't like so bringing up personal opinions why you don't like someone is moot because it has more to do with you not content with the options which can be vary. That's why I said the grass is greener, you don't like your options, I don't like mine, but others do. That's why I care more about total number of companions. If there are more options, it bounds to satisfy more people with different taste. I would rather spread it evenly rather than distribute it so one-sided like you did. I find it rather interesting that someone who feel they're being treated unfairly would want to give the same treatment to others as long as it doesn't affect them. How you feel now is how I feel throughout all of ME series and most of DA. As such, equal distribution would be the optimal solution rather than giving extra options to one group, IMO.
Deal with Alistair being straight, i doubt you go purpossing every straight male you like and they could agree though, if a gay tries to woo me i paint the line ASSAP.
However I thought that males should've not been able to romance Lelianna, i feel her too forced in my first dwarven noble run (prince Aeduncan), first i had to point that i was foot fetishist (shoes dialogue), then i had to give her a lot of gifts just to get the "forbidden fruit" dialogue, while with Sereda LELIANNA HERSELF complimented my hair one day in camp. And i doubt that "hardenning the noble" was involved at all, both of them where devoted Andrastrians.
The wrong move in origins was giving us two romance options and send everyone else with just one... however now that i see bisexuals had more options than anyone else but still I felt that it didn't do any good for homosexuals.
