The fact that it's plural on the website. The Inquisitor is the only one with the powers they have and it's not tied to specializations. Also, why would they tie a specialization that only one class can have to the basis of the entire plot?
That sounds good... so good that I think I'll steal the idea and play as a creepy human female necromancer at some point in the future.
Glad to help.
I'm loosely basing herself off myself because I have always had an interest in the macabre, she'll just be quite a bit more intense with it. XD
Well I was going to go for Knight Enchanter on my first run but Rift Mage sounds really awesome to use.
Glad to help.

I wasn't planning on using the necromancer spec at all, but this gives me a perfect excuse. Now I can have a pro-mage, anti-Chantry character and switch things up by playing as a female all in one go. If she turns out to be an interesting character, I might even do more than one playthrough to see the different romance plots first hand. I think I read that Iron Bull isn't very comfortable with Fade creatures, but hopefully he doesn't have anything against the undead... ![]()

Necromancer for hopefully some uber kind of paralysis and walking bomb combo. And because no blood magic spec.
I still haven't really decided what I'm going to do for my first spec.
Nothing has changed. Templar it is.
Nope, still going with the holy warrior.
No changes as of yet.
Still running Rift Mage for my Main Guy, and a Holy Roller for my Warriors.
planned on champion, still going that route since my first inquisitor is going to be a sword and board tank
For me honestly if necromancer is something like force mage and spirit mage from DA:II I'll be happy and it will make it easy to pick my first inquisitor for playthrough.
The combination of those two spell lines was pretty uber most of the time in DA:II. it was a little weaker single target but I switched to healing in those fights anyway. The ability to draw a bunch of my enemies to one spot and then detonate a walking bomb that turned others into walking bombs often ended fights very quickly. Specially if I could get stronger enemies to explode.
since SH is out as a spec, have high hopes for female qunari bloodmage
Until I know more about how people will react to your specializations I can't really say one way or the other.

Blood mage isn't a spec...
I wasn't aware that the specializations had been revealed...
They've been officially revealed for a few days now, and unofficially for a while longer.

Here you go: http://forum.bioware...tions-revealed/
I was initially interested in Knight Enchanter but I have a hard time believing in a mage using properly a sword, and this spec seem too much like a tank. So I think I'd rather go for the Rift Mage.
I liked what I saw of the rogue class, and not sure if I'll play the rogue as human, and I wouldn't mind the tempest spec. The artificer sounds cool as well. All I know is I want archery.
Archer is going to be my first play through, I am dead certain about that..... maybe.... possibly. However none of the Rogue specializations are striking me as exiting or compatible with archery (not a fan of traps). Could be wrong. Probably best to wait and see them in action before deciding.
Traps could be a useful addition to archers by being a line of defense against enemies that get in close. However I know what you mean about not being fond of traps. I've been prone not to use them even in games that they tend to be prevelant and useful for many strategies.
Yeah I don't doubt the usefulness of traps, just didn't really like them in previous DA games. Saying that, I hope to be eating humble pie once the game is released and traps are the best thing since sliced bread.
After some further reading I wonder if Tempest could possibly have some synergy with Archery.
is it just me or does the Rift mage sound like a Force mage from dragon age 2? I really enjoy Force mage spec. Made me feel like a medieval jedi
