Human Mage, because the plot will make more sense that way, sad but true.

 

I expect to be disappointed by playing other races and comparing the storyline to the human character. No offense to anyone who likes playing other races, i just think bioware will not handle it well, and it will show. Mark my words.

 

I made a thread about this last year and Gaider said "whatever, play what you want". I have seen the reveals since them and so far i am not impressed, i still think non-humans will get the shaft in the plot too (they already do in things like LIs).

 

I also expect to burn for daring to criticise you know who, so... Activating Flame Shield.

Most likely a male human mage, male elf rogue or female qunari mage. The male elf rogue is the most likely considering rogues are my go-to class and elves my go-to race in most rpg campaigns. 

 

Generally plan most of my male characters to be humans and elves and my female characters to be the non-human races (elves, dwarves and qunari)

Seriously stuck between a Male Human Warrior or a Female Elf Mage.  I may go with Male Human Warrior as that is my tradition with the past DA games

I think I'll go with a female elf for my 1st playthrough, followed by a male Qunari, female dwarf, male elf, female human, female Qunari, male human, then a male dwarf. The order might change come release, though, as I can never make up my mind. :\

Human. Always Human. I love playing as other races, but for a first playthrough I like to play as me, but with better looks (dang if i created myself in game i could kill the elder one by looking at him). As I am indeed human, thats the race I can associate with the most.

Most likely for me it will go like this

 

1st run. Male Human Warrior.

2nd run. Female Elf Mage.

And at some point i will play Qunari but i will probably never play dwarf.

Male Qunari... I wanted to do a dual-wielding warrior but may have to go the sword/shield route since warriors still can't hold two weapons. We'll see what kind of guy he turns out to be (though if the American voice sounds like a puss I might have to restart as something else).

 

I want to play as this raced because we've never been able to play as one before. I'm likely to give each race a try.

in actually looking forward to playing as a tempest in one of my playthroughs.
i only recently discovered how fun a rogue can be courtesy of dragon age 2 (assassin spec was nuts) and now that we finally have a magic orientated rogue spec, im even more keen on playing a rogue.
As dwarves cant be mages, and i tend to play mage characters, my dwarf will be a tempest.

Other characters include human necromancer and qunari knight enchanter.

I shall play the dwarf master race. Dwarf male rogue/warrior, not sure which class for first run but leaning towards rogue.

Second playthrough will definitely be a qunari inquisitor, haven't decided on a class or gender yet.
