Seeing how most of us don't know how some of our companions will react to what we do/say in DA:I.
We'll get different reaction and or play-out making things either easier or harder.

First Round would have to have the normal core setup Tank, Rogue, Mage and Support type (depends on what mission).

Tank - Male Qunari Warrior (Champion)
Support - Cassandra (Templar Dps)
Rogue - Varric (Archer Dps)
Mage - Solas

2nd Round

Tank - Cassandra
Rogue - Male Human Archer (Tempest)
Mage - Vivienne
Support - Cole

3rd Round

Tank - Blackwall
Support - Iron Bull
Rogue - Sera (Archer Dps)
Mage - Male Elf (Rift Mage)

Atm that's what I'm thinking though it may change come the 18th lol....

Why aren't people choosing cullen.. is there a problem with him? My first choice would be Cullen, Lilana, and a mage .. I like the idea of the original set up from first DA. So im trying out that first when i get in game. ( not in game yet ) So I was just curious why not many pick Cullen... ?

Because neither Cullen nor Leliana are companions. Only advisors.

Second Playthrough 

female human mage(support)

Blackwall(tank/boyfriend)

Sera(DPS)

Solas(DPS)

I'm leaning towards the starting party of Cassandra, Varric, and Solas for the most part but will be alternating party members every now and then depending on the mission.
