Do you think there will be a choice offered in-game where you will be able to join the Qun, and if so, would your inquisitor convert? (Or at least practicing its tenets)

I’d find it really interesting option for a non-mage Trevelyan. Considering they’re family is heavily tied to the Chantry and being called the Herald of Andraste, it would be a real kick in teeth. xD

I highly doubt that since this game is about magic and the Fade, not Qunari.  They could throw us a curve ball, of course, but I haven't seen the Qunari faction mentioned even once in all of the gameplay videos, demos, and articles.  If it were possible, my first Inquisitor definitely would not submit to the Qun, but I'd eventually make a character specifically to do so.  But as I said, the chances of this being in the game are extremely low by my estimation...

Converting to that heresy is extra heretical!

Please report yourself to your local mage overlord to be properly burn to a crisp.

I honestly cannot figure out why anyone would want to convert to the Qun if you were born outside of it.

The Qun is a lie. Why would I want to convert as an apostate mage?!

lol... you don't think it would be exciting to be leashed and mutilated like a saarebas, then spend the rest of the game following your arvaarad around while he makes all the dialogue and quest decisions?  xD

Converting would pretty much stop all chances of you actually being the Inquisitor.

As Tallis and the Arishok put it, the rest of Thedas seems really chaotic and nothing really good ever comes to the common people. Even the Chantry, has high people places in power and can exploit its power to ignore the needs of the common good (ie. Sister Petrice).

I can see it really appealing to some dissatisifed people, who want to see a better world.

Okay..I can see that..but what baffles me the most would be if you were a mage, and you would agree with the Qun.

I can only see it happening if a mage inquisitor was nutjob like Keili, who wanted the templars to annull the Circle for her 'original sin' anyway. xD Not sure there would be much roleplaying wiggle room to make a Inquisitor mage like that though, I agree.

This should definitely be optional with the Adaar Inquisitor through dialogue with Iron Bull. He's Ben-Hassrath. While Ben-Hassrath are something of a Qunari gestapo, they're also part of the priesthood and should be well versed and qualified to teach the Qun.

Perhaps one day they will release a farming simulator for those who want so badly to join the qun. If you roll female, you get to spend the whole game reading books and knitting scarves. If you roll male, you toil away at crops day and night, night and day, and never aspire to do anything else in the game, because that's your role in the qun. If you roll mage, well, good luck with that.

The qun is not a fairyland of badassery for all. Everyone wants their PC to be the next Arishok, but the reality is that you would more likely be shoved into the lowest ranks of qunari society and told to shush about it, because you do not argue your role. If you got fed up with that and tried to rise above your station or show that you're deserving of more, you'd get lobotomized and sent back to work, game over. A fascinating glorified Farmville.

By virtue of being a protagonist/player character the Inquisitor is a badass. I highly doubt the Tamassrans would assign him/her fishing or farming duties.

More like "I'm an un-collared mage, please kill me immediately".

No, there will be no joining the Qun.

I don't think my pro-mage Adaar would like being Sareebas much. My Trevelyan thinks they are heretics. Then I have another Adaar who lost her parents to Qunaris. I have another Trevelyan who is pro-mage and probaply not into Sareebas thing either. Then I have my Lavellan who actually doesn't have anything against Qunaris.. but he's very egoistical so following Qun doesn't work for him

Nope, no converting to Qun within my troops.

You do not choose you role in the qun, the qun chooses it for you. If the tamassrans tell you, ser badass, that you will farm for the rest of your life, that's what you will do. No ifs and buts and whys.

You either accept that you will be given whatever role you are given and consider yourself fortunate for it, or you do not accept the qun at all. Just by considering yourself a superior person deserving of an appropriately high station, you prove that you're not ready to accept the qun as it is, but as you romanticize it to be.

I thought females were the ones who did this o.O

I doubt they would allow such an option as a consistant thing however you can have Qunari styled art for Skyhold plus maybe it could be an end game thing where the Inquisitor could mention they going to submit to the Qun but will do so when the time is right (so not right away)

They chose your role based on aptitude... Badass implies badass role. Trust me, I know as much as there is to know about Qunari lore.

Yeah I think if the Warden and Hawke converted to the Qun, I don't think they'll be doing any farming or fishing jobs.
