Chainmail bikini, when you still want to look sexy while you are sinking!
I....... have no idea where that came from.

The 100th page deserved a better first post than that though. I think I might have completely ruined the moment.

All this time we've been thinking about how chainmail bikini would function as chainmail, no one ever bothered to ask how it would function as a bikini ![]()

The important thing is that we made it this far.
and how this thread wasn't locked about 90 pages ago will forever be a mystery.

What have all my life's achievements been worth, in comparison to this moment? Naught, I tell you!
YAY ![]()

I can never get used to how loud plate armour is.
That was exactly my reaction when I first saw that video. (earlier in the thread, I mentioned seeing a video of men in plate and commenting that the noise was what stood out to me, it was this exact video)

Well, there's the chafing...
...100 pages dedicated to a trope Dragon age does not even have.
Wow , you people were bored.
I think about 60% of the discussion was driven by arguments with Kefka... At least it was since I started posting.

I went to see a medieval tourney thing a few years ago, and even with all the wind outside, I could still hear all of the clanking. It was phenomenal.

Pretty much. Atleast 71 of these pages are dedicated to her/him, I reckon.

Which makes him either persistent or persistent and an extremely successful troll.
Additionally, those in DA2 were on a ship. If they had heavier armor, they probably weren't wearing it when it went down for safety. Even if the weight doesn't restrict movement too much, it'll sink you like a rock.
That's another possibility, yes. But, where were they before the ship? ![]()

*Shrug*
Even if they had it though, they wouldn't have been wearing it on the ship. I remember a scene from one of the Song of Ice and Fire books, a group of Iron Island Raiders boarded a ship and its captain beat his much more heavily armored Westerosi opponent by unceremoniously tripping him over the rail and into the sea, sunk like a rock. ![]()

Actually, Victarion was also heavily armored (he didn't fear drowning because of his religion), and he beat his opponent by grabbing his sword, sustaining a wound in the process, and throwing it into the sea, before throwing the guy after it because he was too stunned by the display to react.
And yes, I'm fun at parties.
You know, if you manage to throw your opponent overboard in the middle of the ocean then continue on your way, it's most likely a death sentence with or without armor.

Sure? I thought he was mentally questioning his opponent's choice to wear full armor...

Well, yes, but you at least stand a chance of being recovered if your ship wins if you aren't sinking.
i just like spartacus type armor, especially if the character is rolling or jumping, i give credit to me3, that armor was form fitting, i just hate that clunky, heavy, bulky stuff
Yes. Shepards armor was PERFECT.

Oh I agree, wearing full armor on a ship is ridiculous, too many accidents can occur. Just saying, throwing someone overboard is a good strategy regardless.

Yes, we owe much of this thread's success to our glorious anti-hero, Kefka ![]()

Shepard's armor was pretty cool. I gotta say, though, Shepard's Blood Dragon Armor in Mass Effect 2&3 was my jam
Shame I couldn't wear it in DAO or DA2 where it actually belonged, but I bought the games used
It would be cool if it came back for Inquisition.
Sure? I thought he was mentally questioning his opponent's choice to wear full armor...
Actually he despised the crew on the ships for being cowards by *not* wearing armor for fear of drowning. He was impressed by the one that did. The opponent he killed with his axe after stoping his blade with his hands.
P.S. I am in favor of sexy armor...though it seems like the time of the famed chainmail bikini are close to an end. The trend certainly points to more and more games becoming more PC in that regard.
