This reminds me of Carl Pilkington talking about sexy metal pants knights use to wear.

I don't want "sexy" armour.  I do want awesome armour.  I don't see why awesome has to mean strictly masculine and bulky.  I want armour that looks tailored to fit a female body.  Which is why I love this so much:

Even though they are clearly wearing the same design, the female armour is not just a scaled down version of the male one.  The pants are more fitted, the top is longer and flattering.  If you took the armour away, the outfit underneath would actually be quite fashionable.  Yet they are both equally protected and covered.

I'm fine with having both functional-looking and sexy armor available. Dragon's Dogma would be a good example. Full plate and chainmail? You bet. Silk lingerie and metal bras with armor that leaves almost nothing to the imagination? They've got that too.

The only two pet peeves I really have are giant, DA:O sized pauldrons and tons of spikes or sharp bits (I may be slightly hypocritical here though, since I'm also a fan of WH40K).

No thanks. One Fenris with his retarded sword is more than enough.

For the most part I go with the practical armour choice, when someone's trying to kill you don't make it easy.

But I will admit that because I absolutely loathed the gang quests in DA2 but hated wading through mobs to get to a quest point (usually full of mobs of their own) more I downloaded some skimpy armour mods and headcannoned a girls night involving a lost bet to Isabela and a point scoring drinking game which had a side effect of making the streets safer. By Act 3 Aveline was "subtly" hinting when their next one should happen.

To me it's allowing for choice because while I prefer to go with logic sometimes it's fun to go ridiculous.

Bottom line I would like for all the gender in game to have the same options. What I mean by this is that the armor should not be define by the gender but by it's functionally and then adapted to the different bodies. Also ****** kill boob plate with all the rage in the world, the most shitty idea that come out of fantasy settings ever.

Of course if there is a dress for the Inquisitor for some party, it should be for all the genders, if there is a formal thing with pants, that should be available to all too. I really do not want to be forced to have my inquisitor in a skirt because "omg woman use skirts" and vice versa. Which in a fantasy medieval setting the skirt, high heels... etc thing is kinda strange to be restricted to female, since a lot of Europeans culture and not only used them and still do.

Armor designs can look both practical and visually appealing. The two don't necessarily have to be mutually exclusive. For example:

I think functional can be flattering.

The proof in your statement is right here. No further exhibits required.

I just want Heavy and Massive armors that dont hide the fact that my female characters are female. I could never wear massive armor on my female characters becasue it made them look like pretty boys instead of women.

How they have been doing most their armor works, really does look like armor for the most part.

Given this will be more an action rpg and what we have seen so far there really isn't a place for the joke sexy armor and it doesn't really work for any chars to half that type of armor beside mages and even then perfere they keep some realism.

Personally, I don't have a problem with "sexy" armor in principle. It depends on if it fits the game. Whenever I look at armor in a video game, I don't ask myself questions like "Does it cover every inch of skin?" or "Does it look like it's made of sufficiently strong material" or "Would I realistically be able to move around in it?" All I ask myself is "Is it aesthetically pleasing to my personal tastes?"

Video games are not real life. They aren't even a live-action medium, so they don't have to worry about how such armor would look or move in real life. I firmly believe they should embrace that fact, not try to shunt it away as if it were something shameful. For all the ridicule TERA Online's bikini armor has gotten, it works for me because that game is clearly a high fantasy game with a heavy focus on aesthetics over realism. Guild Wars 2 also has tons of sexy outfits, and it works there for the same reason.

IMO, the only time criticism of armor as "unrealistic" or "impractical" has any merit is if the creators themselves specifically claim the armor is supposed to be realistic and practical. I don't know if Bioware has ever made that claim about DA, but the game seems to have too much of a gritty, grimdark tone for "sexy armor" to work. It would clash too much with the tone of the game. Sexy light armor, on the other hand (ie for cloth-wearing classes), would probably work much better, as DA:O had quite a bit of that.

Anyway, to answer the OP's question, I enjoy "awesome" armor in every game, and "sexy" armor if it fits the game.

I like both. If the armor is very sexy then that's great, as long as in fits in within the context of the setting.

Well I could never wear heavy armor because there had two melons in the front, that looked nothing like how breasts with clothes and chainmail behave

I even mod it to look more like the male version and used the massive all the time. I can say it really breaked my immersion having two strange elevation on the front that look nothing like breasts.

My PC, my choice.

Your PC can decide on the dress codes for parties he/she hosts himself/herself. I don't see how he/she would influence the dress codes at parties hosted by other people.

I'm incredibly pleased so far with how the armor seems to be designed. I haven't seen anything too egregiously sexualized for any of the ladies. Vivienne does have a boob window sometimes, but it's not that bad, and she's a mage who isn't wearing heavy armor typically anyway. Other than that, they all look practical (and still visually appealing too). That goes for dudes too - honestly, one of the best outfits I've seen in this game so far was the Inquisitor's (male, human, warrior) armor in the old Crestwood demo (first part) - I LOVED how it looked, and I wanna see it on a lady.

Dress codes are not laws, you can dress whatever you want, even is it is a scandal which I doubt since you have Maevaris in social parties too.

Reading the op (rare on my part) is like trying to read a woman's mind. Filled with confidence & indecision. She doesn't know what she wants most times, but she's confident knowing that.

I'm happy with the armor they have showed for female characters, so far. I honestly wouldn't be able to take my character seriously or roleplay effectively if she looks like she belongs in a brothel more than on the battlefield. The whole chain-mail bikini concept can die in a fire; nothing screams stupid louder IMO.
