There is nothing subjective about art or costumes, tell me which is better?

Whether you want to admit it, art is subjective and you using a biased selection example is an underhanded method of provide g your point.

Whether you want to admit it, art is subjective, even though there can be consensus and you using a biased selection example is an underhanded method of proving your point.

There you go again.

Why is anyone arguing with Kefka, again?

Entertainment value I guess?

Side note but still relevant: I hate armor with heels. Or combat in heels. Basically all superheroine outfits.

I don't mind heels on armor as long as they aren't stilettos that can **** right off.

We had so many different artstyles during the centuries, which differed and sometimes were opposed to each others, it's surely an indication of art being objective.
I'd like to respond to your question Kefka, but only if you show examples from the same media. Comparing a VG with a not so Good graphics with fanart/non-Vg shot isn't really fair.

Forums are for chitchat.

And I have more to say about armor than I do about companions I haven't met yet or videos I'm RESISTING WATCHING BECAUSE MY WILL IS STRONG I SWEAR IT IS.

Between a tubetop and a trenchcoat cocktail dress combo...

I dunno. Assuming the art was the same, they're both not ideal as armor and I'd mutter incoherently if a game made me tank in them. I mean, neither outfit you showed was armor there, unless they're made of spacefuture/extra magic materials.

Thats some self control you have. I always have to hope and pray videos of games don't get leaked before release, because I WILL watch them, no matter how much I don't want to be spoiled.

All of them. I have decided I may watch trailers, but no gameplay.

So far, I've been very good. My mouse only hovers over that pesky video thread a little.

oh...well I've failed already. mostly because of my work schedule being such that I have to sit in the office by myself when everyone leaves for up to another hour or so. I have to fill the gap somehow.

I KNOW it won't be that bad, but at the same time, I'd rather discover most of that for myself. I don't mind secondhand accounts, such as can be found all over the forums, 'cause that's not the thing itself. The worst is going to be the gap between when the game comes out and when it actually arrives in my village for me, because I'm going to have to hide under the bed or hide my computer or something.  Amazon thinks it'll get here day of release, but Amazon has never been prepared for how rural I am.  :P

One thing I'd quite like -- and a fun way to change the lines and look of a set of armor -- is tabards. I've seen plenty of concepts with the stylish long coat, partial skirts, and all that, but I haven't really seen a full length tabard. Which is a pity, because they're classy and functional. And an easy way to show off our heraldry. Maybe I'll be surprised and see some!

Ok so since I'm a windmill and inane and so on, please, can someone elucidate, clearly and completely why, in a game with dragons, and magic, and tons of things that don't exist or have anything to do with reality, why suddenly clothes are an exception to this rule and are heavily burdened with restrictions concerning reality? I know people have been doing that for awhile in bits and pieces, but you claim I cannot be persuaded but I simply haven't seen the overpowering logic there. You all are so frustrated that I'm resorting to prudishness and sexism, but I'm defaulting to assumptions in the absence of that understanding.

You already dealt with the sexist, armor and stuff, I wanted to point you to why mages tended towards no armor, most times.

D&D, mages can wear armor but at penalties of casting magic, metal and lightning as one issue that was brought up. But, the fact that the armor does restrict casting spells in this system. It did see that carry over to other systems, also the examples of "mages" tended to be armorless and robed figures instead. I wont go further into detail as I would have to read up on those exampled mages specifically. However, this is the reason behind many armorless mages, yet there are some that mix it up, spell swords and such, trained to fight that way, but they are limited in said system versus a mage that doesnt do this. A straight up 100% mage is technically more powerful than a spellsword or other types due to their library of spells they can have that the others cant. Again, just that specific system, which again, seems the basis for other systems examples.

Shadowrun, a mage can have cyberware, but looses access to higher powered spells in it, but can have limited protective armors.

Basically, take a look at actual tabletop rpg mages, CRPGs tend to follow that stuff. Not all of course, which is why mages tend to have clothing that are sporadically altered in many ways.

I am late to comment but need to state something I noticed.  All the men are grubbled, kinda hinted that either this is a 16 year old boy, but features are older than 16, means it most likely is a female. Also, to point out, women successfully pulled off being males in Civil War, and other wars in past. So, lack of showing boobs, doesnt matter to me when actually looking at other details. And the fact, I seen women in current military uniform looked less endowed than out of uniform.

Is it a surprise that women can tighten up their chests?
