To make it short, do you think we'll be able to make our inquisitors, most importantly for me our qunari, more buff, or skinnier.

I'm asking this because i saw a gameplay trailer recently were at one point a Male Qunari Mage was featured and he was as big as Iron Bull. I however wanted to make my Qunquisitor a tall lean and very skinny rogue, but will that be a feature, or will all our male qunari be huge?

No, you will not be able to change the default body type for the race and gender you select.

[edit]

Oh and I'd love to see this gameplay trailer you are referring to, because I have never seen a Qunari male Inquisitor.

The devs stated that the Male Qunari isn't as tall or big as Iron Bull, but will the taller/bigger than everyone else.

There is a male qunari mage in this video:

He shows up at 1:03 on the left side of the screen... he's got on a white outfit, if that helps identify him.

There is also a male warrior version at 1:45 standing next to Iron Bull...

Also, this is an official video, but there are a lot of locations shown... if you consider that to be spoilers then you may not want to watch this...

All male qunari are jacked. Steroids are not optional. Like the Dalish face tattoo.

See, this is why I'm not that interested in playing a male Qunari. I don't like the super buff characters. :(

Looks like if we want a lean qunari we'll have to pick female. D: Kinda a shame because I do want to play a male qunari rogue for Dorian but the rogue does look a bit too buff for how I would prefer a rogue to be.

after seeing so many pretty qunari characters via fanart, i really hope the CC can let our imaginations run wild, i'd hate for Ironbull Qunquisitor to be homely looking, same for Josephines Ox-man.

The Qunari are ripped, and should stay that way. This Bishounen nonsense needs to put the brakes on.

It'll be impossible for me to play a nimble rogue / learned mage when I'm a hulking warrior beastdude. I can only picture Qunari men as warriors... And my first playthrough is a human male warrior for sure. :(

Ta;-Vashoth and Qunari looked equally ripped in DA2.  We don't have the blessings of Mr. Can't-Handle-Being-A-Real-Qunari-So-I'm-Gonna-Run-Off-And-Drink-And-Screw-But-Still-Rat-My-New-Friends-Out, but we're at least as ripped as Sten.

Yeah, but there are degrees of muscularity. I get why they made the male Qunari Inquisitor so buff, but like some others, it makes it so I can't picture a male Qunari as anything but a warrior.

You don't have to be disgustingly jacked on steroids to avoid being a bishonen.

Jon Hamm is literally as far away as you can get from the trope and he's bulky. Bruce Willis is another example:

Not lithe or androgynous in appearance, but not nauseatingly jacked.

To be honest, I like their hulking appearance. Generally, I'm not big on muscles, but the Qunari are a very laborious and self-sufficient race. To top it off, they seem rather prone to muscle accumulation and retention. Combine both those aspects with the fact that the Tal-Vashoth inquisitor starts off as a mercenary from a very fringe, self-reliant community, it makes sense for them to have bulk. Qunari are "giants," and I've never seen a lithe giant in any form of media, unless maaaybe if it was starving to death perhaps?

Yes, I won't disagree that it would be nice to have sliders for body shape, but BioWare has already stated that they can only have so many rigs so that just isn't an option at the moment. I will also agree it is difficult to look at a male Qunari and think "rogue," if only because that typically holds the connotation of this slender and swift individual. Qunari can be swift, surely, but slender they are not.

Though, I will forever be eternally grateful to the designers that the Qunari female isn't just a conventionally pretty human that happens to be tall with gray-bronze skin, pointed ears and horns. Looking at you, Rasaan.

None of this 9 month crap, they stay in there for a full 18 years before popping out fully jacked and ready to serve the qun

A new born Qunari is able to run 50 miles an hour, leap 20 feet in the air, and lift 200 lbs....And that's only after qunari milk from the tap. Qunari milk is also the secret ingredient to their explosives and in the future use for jet fuel when they figure it out.

True story.
