MESSAGE POPULAIRE !
A couple of things, to clarify without giving away much in the way of spoilers:
The Warden of DAO will not be seen in-game, as you already know.
He/she is more than simply mentioned in passing, however. There is some story, though I won't say more than that.
If you were expecting DAI to be "the continued adventures of the DAO Warden", however, then no, it will definitely not be that. I feel quite comfortable in saying that will never happen, sorry.

I don't think many would have wanted a continued of the adventures of the Warden. Just clarification about the "disappearance" for those Wardens that didn't go with Morrigan.
I did not say you would not find out what happened to the DAO Warden. I said they receive more than passing reference, and there is a story involving them, but you would not see them appear personally in-game.

So our Warden isn't dying, then
If you really want to play the game where anything I don't directly say can be taken as confirmation, feel free. You may end up disappointed. I'll neither confirm nor deny anything further, however—you'll see exactly what I mean when you play the game.

Alright thanks closure is important especially with that cliffhanger in DA2 (that the Warden along with Hawke disappeared)
We don't need to know every last bit of his post Origins/Awakening life but that has to be resolved
That was not a cliffhanger.
It was, at best, an unresolved plot point. You might also call it "sequel bait", if you prefer, but a cliffhanger is where the central conflict of the story is left unresolved pending the next chapter--and is generally done in dramatic fashion to leave you "hanging" in anticipation.
Wanting every lingering question answered is understandable, but that does not make it a cliffhanger. And, yes, I know that is pedantic of me, but I work with words, so there you go.
