missed the rage brother it was just a hit to forum morale and up'd our toxic level

I read it, I just didn't want to be part of it.

As long as there is DA:I DLC, there is still a chance for the Warden to show up.

After all there is multiplayer in DA:I, which means we might get some pretty sweet DLC for DA:I.

Hopefully their will be one for them :)
But then again, I'm fine with just references

Bummer.  I don't like it and think it's a mistake on their part, but no use dwelling on it.  Hopefully BW handles it tastefully.  I can already see the endless raging posts that are sure to come in the first few weeks of the release no matter how good the game is.  If any of you are relatively new (meaning you weren't around for ME3 ending debacle) prepare yourself for some serious venom.  It gets toxic fast.  I'll ignore BSN until I have completed my first playthrough so I am not prejudiced by others opinions.

but srsly, who is that random warden, then? it seems like too big a moment for it just to be random warden #2276549.

i really hope that's not alistair cuz...well...he kinda looks awful. i mean, for an alistair.

When forums give you toxic, brew a Witcher elixir.

Yeah, but for some people who had been with ME since the beginning well the Ending to the trilogy was nothing more then middle finger from BW, not that it was the only problem with ME3, but the ending is pretty much the thing people have a problem with.

anyway, I don't think the Warden will create that kind of feedback at least not on that size as the ME3 ending did, but it might push BW to make a Warden DLC so we get some closure.

Well, i wish they'd just plainly tell us :P

But I'm actually happy for this, The Warden will be off doing his own thing and hopefully helping the inquisition in some way

If they do that, then I'd be 100% behind it

This, absolutely. I do want to hear about my Wardens, but off-screen is very much ok. And actually preferable.

No, that would be just mean.  People liked their wardens.  They want to see them and that everything worked out OK.  There's nothing wrong with that.  I'd be horribly ticked off if any of my wardens turned into any enemy, let alone a named lieutenant in a mob.

I absolutely do want that everything turns out ok for them. However, that does not mean I need to be explicitly told. As I said above, "The Warden and Morrigan were seen together and nobody knows what happened after" is very much ok. "The Warden disappeared" with no further qualification is only a little less satisfying because it makes you think something should come of that. Still, being told nothing is preferable to being told things I don't like, and there are some outcomes many would consider happy I would simply hate. That's why I opt for more vagueness rather than less.

Im truly calm now rage has subsided.

Rational post: the dev comment claim we will hear them which translates we will hear of them to x extent i respect BW's choice for a more econmic approach i will contue to go to the midnight release and play day1 and judge after playing. But if this flops BW may lose all standing in the fanbase and churn out AAA games that will slowly fall in qaulity in order to gain new fans that just jump in

I understand the wish to get more info after the line about the Warden's disappearance in DA2, but I maintain that this has no impact on overall story quality. No Impact At All. The story can be great with or without our old protagonists, and in fact it should aim to be.

i agree , merely referencing EA's preference for new fans over past.

Hi there!

I was devastated when I heard Warden most probably won’t be in the Inquisition but hey, if they can’t do him properly now, it’s for the best to just leave him for another time when he’ll fit the story better. They can even start to gather feedback as to what to do if he ever has speaking role (do they do that?).

I’m sure he will appear eventually, I mean we still have 2 more Dragon age games (if we’re lucky ).

Well, that's what I've been expecting to happen to mine.  Even a Warden who survives the Blight is living on borrowed time.

Now I'm hoping that drinking Avernus's experimental elixir will turned out to be a right decision and it will delay the Warden's calling, but I know better to dwelling on it at this point still I will feel mildly annoyed if BioWare decided to kill the Warden off screen.

Probably means Hawke will be clipped by the end of Inquisition too.
Having potentially 3 old protagonists alive by the next game will make people pretty angry lol

This is why a 1 protag per games is bad or at the least with close time proximity to each other

I can see that BioWare is in lose-lose situation they won't be able to please everyone, and someone will always upset about their decision. That said, I still think the previous protagonists returning only to sacrifice themselves for the greater good is better than they gone and forgotten forever. We never see their physical appearance nor heard about them again. I don't know if it's just me, but I don't want to see BioWare pulls this disappear crap too often.

HoF really won't come back? At all? Regardless of is he alive or not?

You won't see him in-game, no.
