I'm OK with that, just so long as they tell us what happened to them after they made them disappear. Hopefully not an oh whoops he died either lol.

be prepared to be insulted and disappointed cause if they treat past heroes that fans have bonded with like this in favor of their hero it says alot. (Aware of the easier more relatable to the story hawke is but not pleased on the way they jerked me around)

Hawke and the Warden--any past character, really--should only appear if they serve the story. Since I haven't played the game, I can't tell you if the Warden would serve the story. I had a blast with DAO, but I'm ready to move on.

If you still remember DA2 ending both Cassandra and Leliana were looking for both Champion of Kirkwall and the Hero of Felderen to solve Mage-Templar War before it's escalate further, I think that right there is a purpose the Warden could serve for the current story and not to mention the Grey Warden also have a part to play in DAI so I see at least two purpose the Warden could serve for DAI story. I know the game is not even out yet so we couldn't judge but I fail to see how the Warden cannot serve the story. Now that Hawke is returning and the Warden's absent it raises a question for me so what's happening to the Warden. Will we ever learn that.

It doesn't bother me too much that the Warden won't be appearing in DAI.  I do hope that they do elaborate on what happened to the Warden though even if we don't see what happens to him/her off screen.
