At least I can maintain my headcanon that my Warden walked into the Dead Roads to go out in a blaze of glory.

We have thought of the possibility of the Warden being reserved for future DA titles maybe?
You know, like when someone awakens the last two Archdaemons at the same time for a mega-blight and The Hero of Ferelden is the last person to stop them... and you can remake your Warden and play them in the final amazing installment of the DA series maybe?
Talk ... about ... closure. Eh?

There are always the possibility for that, but I'm not really sure the Warden will live that long without succumbing to the taint and have to walk into to the Deep Roads unless you drank Avernus's potion. Too bad we won't see a moment of three protagonists stand together against the Elder One.

@Commander Aeducan: Oh Commander, how little faith you have in our dear sweet grandmother Flemeth. Grammy Flem will make everything all better...
She has plans you see.

@Monkey: More rage? Alright.... everyone but you actually WILL have the Warden in their game. And the warden will be fully customizable and playable for a mission and his decisions will shape the fate of Thedas once more and then you'll find out when he'll appear next.
Well... "we'll" find it out... you won't.
Ermmm... good rage?

All the potion does in-game is give two extra ability points opens a new ability tree. I've never seen anything to indicate it'll prevent to calling.

Frankly, I fully expect to see her swallow both the Warden and Hawke. *shudder*

That's the gameplay mechanic you're talking about. I always thought it suppose to delay the calling...I mean just look at Avernus and his experiment. I have nothing against the Warden walked the Deep Roads to go out in a blaze of glory. I can bear that better than knowing one of my characters will disappear forever without any real closure.

I've re-read the entry. It doesn't say anything about the Calling. What it does, lore-wise, is allow Grey Wardens to tap the taint for power.

As far as I've know Avernus lived for centuries and manage to extend his lifespan. I figure it has something to do with his experiment if I remember it correctly. Unless he manage that by eating a Wardens or other means.

Don't really care. Came to terms with it about 6 hours ago. As long as the Warden isn't bastardized I'm good. Still kind of ****ed up that Hawke makes the cut, because Hawke is pretty fail.

If you pick the right dialogue option to start the conversation with, he states that he sustains himself through "a similar source" to the demon who possessed Sophia. That could in theory mean blood magic, but I think the phrasing sounds more natural if he's referring to a spirit of some kind inside him.

2.5 is crumpling up a perfectly decent drawing that doesn't really deserve it one time.
10 is a strongly worded letter to the editor or the people responsible, whatever.
It goes to 11, but that doesn't happen with any frequency.
(Any excuse to make me practice my tablet, at which I am abysmal.)

Same here, I still feel mildly annoyed that Hawke gets the spotlight on this one, but I wouldn't call Hawke a failure even though he/she fail at many things.

My warden sacrificed himself in DA:O, so I found it odd when Cassandra said "Gone. Just like the Warden." at the end of DA2, cause how can he be "gone" (as in disappeared) if he's dead? Unless his body mysteriously vanished from his tomb at Weisshaupt Fortress, in which case Zombie Warden! ![]()
