It is just TOO easy for glitches to occur when trying to bring over everyones created avatars. As you know there are how many different PCs and consoles to attend to, an easy recipe for unhappiness and disaster.

This way would have our Wardens and Hawkes, in a sense without the bugs.

At this point we know the warden won't come back so either they will end possessed so it isn't the warden , dead corpse or they won't be in game.

its funny how on the DA wiki on The Warden's page under appearances Dragon Age: Inquisition is listed, I don't think just anyone can change things on DA wiki

Anyone can edit the wikia. You can go there right now and edit it to say the Warden is the protagonist of DAI, and the entire cast will be wearing pink, and the Elder One is actually Duncan. That's how reliable that wiki is. ;)

Either way, I hope the Warden gets mentioned in DAI.

The DA wiki is one of the most reliable wikis out there.

They know how attached everyone is to their wardens, and that's part of the problem.  This group says but why is Ferelden's ruler showing up without his/her consort (or main adviser) while another insists that Leliana/Morrigan/Zevran should still be at the warden's side, since the warden's not ruling.  Players who didn't pursue a romance will get annoyed about LI overload and those whose wardens died killing the archdemon will want to see the tomb and statue. (That one, at least doesn't require any dialogue to be written.)

I'm perfectly happy having my warden appear in DAO and DAA, and if they must appear in DAI at all, I hope it's so their death can be explained.

My intuition is pretty good and it says he will at best be mentioned at worst killed at the start. The later is likly i dont like this senario due to it feeling like a kick in the stomach for some(including for me)

Ehh I'm not too bothered, I just hope there's a good explanation and some mentions. Personally, I was way more attached to my Hawke so I'm really excited for them being in Inquisition.

I guess the Warden has way too many variables with their appearance/story/romace (also the whole voice acting issue), maybe it was too much work to put them in-game. It probably would have been better if Bioware confirmed this earlier though.

Maker No. If the Warden isn't in, and I mean IN, I'll be really disappointed. I mean Hawke is all but guaranteed, but the Warden gets the red headed step child treatment? It'll sour the DA:I experience for me. How much is still up in the air. And it's not my fault. They should have left well enough alone. But the Warden had to disappear... Why can't he be in Amaranthine or Montsimmard with regular visits to Morrigan and their kid?

For me atleast it's because Hawkes getting in, but the Warden could be getting the boot

In retrospect it could just be the devs messing with our heads again :P

What.

First everyone was moping about wanting closure (me, too), next they were upset when it sounded like the warden really could be in Inquisition, now people are moping again that they might not be in?

Sheesh.

The phrasing is kinda strange. They ddn't say "bringing Warden back - sort of" but "arent' bringing them back - sort of". Sounds to me as if there was no real meeting in person. At least not as we knew them. I suspect we'll find their remains or something. ...And I don't like that at all. Hope I'm wrong.

i dont mind being teased or having my chained but this is sadistic lol. Just put a cowl over his faxe and let the keep do its job. Else it seems like a waste of a character

I wish they'd hurry up and give us a Final Crisis death scene like Zack's for our Warden, so everyone could get it out of their system.

first 1:30 seconds are all that matter..

I'd prefer it be a army of Dark Spawn but yeah.

Just smoked a cigarette and the disappointment is still shrouding me like a cloud of negativity. The only upside to this statement that I can think of is that the devs are playing this one super close to the chest because the Warden might in fact be the Inquisitor. But even then I refuse to get my hopes up. Not to mention that there was a Warden along with Hawke and the Inquisitor in the Enemy of Thedas trailer.

The warden had to disappear because the warden's story ended when (s)he killed the archdemon.  The warden-commander didn't hang around either.  Hawke tried to fade into the sunset but Varric does like to tell stories.  Cass can be fairly persuasive.  I think it might be tough sometimes to have to try to incorporate multiple stories into a single game.  Maybe we'll get closure on the warden of a sort we can live with, but they've got new characters we can make and new stuff to worry about too.  I think we'll get a chance to say hello and goodbye, maybe a dialog, but they won't go into the past much.  How do the devs know what we've had them up to since?
