Wait wait...correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think we were giving any choice on where the Warden will go after DAA, and usually the Warden will return to their love interest that it...until BioWare get their hands on our character. In DAO epilogue perhaps but I always thought it was temporary.

We could do what we wanted to do in dao you could say from what i renember you go back to wardens , stay in denerim (as who depends on choices) , go your own way , or decide nothing.Then in daa you are back in wardens but you can still respond it is only temporary.

It just occurred to me. What if the Warden is now the First Warden?

If that's the case, I can already see a lot of people upset over this because it's messing with their head canon of the Warden's retirement and on vacation or fighting a greater evil somewhere else. I personally don't have a problem if my Warden is now the First Warden or working for the First Warden directly, since my head canon he's staying with the order, but regardless I'm ok with anything but BioWare kill my Warden offscreen or we saw some random corpse or ghoul named "the Warden". Now that is insulting.

Indeed, still...I'm afraid the fate of our Warden is in BioWare's hand after we finish with DAA or Witch Hunt. Let's hope they won't mess this up.

Don't worry, they are going to have the Warden rushing in to warn everyone of the explosion, and as he opens the door explosion happens. Second mission of the game will be collecting the Warden's ashes and equipment remnants to bury.

meh i'm in the "the story of the Warden is over " -camp.  The Blight ended 10 yrs ago already. he/she did what they set out to do.  So for me a few mentions about my Wardens would be enough.

 

pretty easy for BW to write "closure" for the Warden. They can just have Leliana/Morrigan or whoever mention that the Warden went on his/her calling 2 years ago for example ( for the Wardens that didn't do the US). Thera ya go , closure lol.  

 

It doesn't seem like he/she did anyhing big in the last 10 yrs or we would have heard it in DA2. So they disappeared for a while, big deal, move on.

 

Or they might have some kind of  swtor Revan story in mind lol, who knows but i look forward to finding out

From a story point it makes sense that Hawke gets an appearance.

 

They confirmed a long time ago that the stuff that would have happend in the Exalted Marches expansion would take place in some form in DA:I.

So basically the Warden's story hasn't been finalised and you're not yet sure how it's going to end. I appreciate the information but surely, in some game at least we'll find out what the hell happened to our Warden, something other than "he went through the mirror and we lost him".

Thanks for the clarification. Still disappointed by the fact that Hawke have a preferential treatmant, but knowing the Warden will be mentioned is still good.

 

I don't think many would have wanted a continued of the adventures of the Warden. Just clarification about the "disappearance" for those Wardens that didn't go with Morrigan.

But to some this news strikes a personal string. Granted we have no clue how it will turn out but the real possiblity is that are wardens will be treated as a prop rather than a person. Those who did witch hunt and went through the mirror may be retconed and given the implied statement "thanks for your money but this is what really happened" but this is a extreme viewpoint and i could wrong due to disappointment

It's two games later and we're probably still gonna have no clue what happened. For some stories Morrigan has been right there with the Warden, can't she just say such and such happened with in-game dialogue. I don't want her not telling us due to some silly plotline, like it's to dark or secretive to tell.

I did not say you would not find out what happened to the DAO Warden. I said they receive more than passing reference, and there is a story involving them, but you would not see them appear personally in-game.
