I did not say you would not find out what happened to the DAO Warden. I said they receive more than passing reference, and there is a story involving them, but you would not see them appear personally in-game.

I feel this is a bit of a missed opportunity, considering all the potential stuff that could be added. And before you say it, I'm well aware that it's no longer the Warden's story. However, given that the majority of his/her love interests make an appearance (Cullen included in a way, if you flirted with him in the mage origin), and most likely won't be all together again for DA4, it's unlikely this kind of opportunity will present itself again.

Still, I understand if you want to play it safe, given the backlash that was DA2, but I for one respect the idea that the Warden is no longer ours and would just like to see how things could have played out, now that the reigns are back in the writer's hands. For instance, I romanced Morrigan and had the OGB with her. And even if the OGB is not integral to the plot, a scene with the Warden looking after his son (or saying goodbye before his Calling), would have been a nice bit of closure.

Funny thing that everyone talks about the Calling and the Warden dying due to it although it doesn't really kills the wardens

Just makes them ghouls, sentient ones in case of Utah

I just want a scene where The Inquisitor sees Leliana putting on a Amulet "Wardens Oath" that was given to her by our warden and maybe another scene of her reading a letter from the Warden and when we approach we see her wipe away her tears then maybe she could tell us about their Relationship.

Thats how I would love seeing Lelianas Romance be handled if we romanced her with our Warden I have accepted my Warden isnt coming back but it still sucks. :(

I like the Calling because it gives me the image of my Warden terrorizing the Deep Roads for a few weeks until he dies atop a mountain of dead darkspawn.

Some of them die, because they choose to fight Darkspawn before they turn.

Not my main one for sure

Me and the Architect bestbuddiesforever

Jokes aside, I was just saying that the calling itself doesn't kill a warden. There is no (as far as I know) a point of a warden's life when they just die due to taint. Now, most choose to fight till they die but that's not the Calling killing them. It's the darkspawns

The Calling isn't what kills the Warden. The Calling is what the Warden follows through on, so that they don't become further corrupted by the taint. So instead, they die gloriously on the battlefield.

Heck, it would be perfect if the Warden's Calling was fighting alongside the Inquisitor when they do battle with the Elder one. :D

I thought the calling didn't happen until 30 years after their joining. Time line wise we're what, 10 years from the start of Origins?

30 years isn't a set number. The Calling can range from as little as 5 to as much as 30 years depending on an individual's willpower, amount of contact with darkspawn, or a Blight.

tjey messed up on that. It honestly varies from warden to warden. Some think its willpower related. Blood magic can accel or deccelerate it(avernus for decel and last flight implies accel) 10+ is the average but sigrun goes on it after awakening or at least tries to

Inqui is about the Inquisitor though, so not really the place for the Wardens story

I hope it's just a tease. It will most likely be the same as in Dragon Age 2 the sequel I will not mention, a reference here and there.

Alistair, no.  The taint takes about 30 years to fully take over the Warden's body (depending on age.  The younger the better).  Alistair is still ten years in or so, so it won't get him anytime soon.  Blackwall is a definite though.

I spared avernus so some of my wardens should live longer than normal humans unless they somehow end being killed.

I wonder in what way warden is involved in story that could mean a lot of things from "Find the warden" ,do quest that warden is somehow involved or do quest for the warden i hope they will leave most things vague.

I am not sure if I want to see my Warden/Hawke in future Dragon Age games, but I recall BioWare did say if they ever adding both to appear in game will be BioWare's  version of Warden/Hawke, especially now that David Gaider out right stated we won't get another HoF game.

IMO, passing reference like Bodahn did in DA2 or a short summery of their "post-game life" is enough for me, something player/Inquisitor can find as a bits of lore info/letters/rumors etc.

A couple of things, to clarify without giving away much in the way of spoilers:

The Warden of DAO will not be seen in-game, as you already know.

He/she is more than simply mentioned in passing, however. There is some story, though I won't say more than that.

If you were expecting DAI to be "the continued adventures of the DAO Warden", however, then no, it will definitely not be that. I feel quite comfortable in saying that will never happen, sorry.

Already knew that

So we will never get some sense of closure then. Disappear forever right

Great

I think I the Warden commander still has a chance to still appear regardless of if it was a Import HOF if you choose that route or the orleasian. Because they said the warden from DAO which the main story of orgins story is over. The Awakening in a senese was a new slate or chapter of the previous hero or the begining of a new hero. Plus regardless of how you approach it the warden commander lives.
