Best case scenario is semantics and the warden is no longer a warden via taint cure etc. Betting it's more likely dialogue mentions and offscreen involvement/epilogue stuff.
Not sure if I should cry or be hopeful.. DAO warden in DAI

The only upside to this statement that I can think of is that the devs are playing this one super close to the chest because the Warden might in fact be the Inquisitor.
That makes no sense. And the Inquisitor can be a Vashot.

We sort of don't want to mess with your heads.
We also sort of enjoy messing with your heads.
We sort of, maybe, possibly, are gonna reference someting you may possibly want to see (or not).
We are definitely sort of evil bastards.
That sum it up nicely.

It'll probably depend on what you did or didn't plug into the Keep. If the Warden is dead you get a 'new' Inquisitor at CC instead of the Warden, Vashoth included. And as I said I'm not putting too much stick into that theory.

Why on earth would you ever want the Warden back in a fully voiced game?

Because it's THE Warden. I understand why some folks don't want him/her to return. Why can't the other side understand why some folks do?

Hype meter went from an all time high to an all time low. DA:I might well be the GOTY, this was still a huge blow for me personally.

That theory is just as crazy as the "OGB is the inquisitor"
I really hope this isnt the case.

Bio took smart decision at least they wont destroy pc not that prevent peoples from headcanon if they won't be in game what they were doing and what they did after pretty much as it was with warden ending. And if they will end possessed at least still they didn't destroyed pc and explained whole situation.
The warden can't be inq for few facts we know inq backstory , the warden character would pretty much bring huge change into game starting even with 1 character like leliana or morrigan ending on they said warden won't appear in game.

This, I also fail to see how many people even consider Witch Hunt a proper closure for the Warden even if you go through the Eluvian with Morrigan your previous character's fate are in limbo, and the same thing has also happened if the Warden didn't go through the Eluvian...so what's happening to my character now is the Warden live happily ever after with Morrigan or the Warden returns to the order. If they can put Hawke they can put the Warden, and the lack of connection to events in DA: II or not fully voiced is not the excuse for the Warden's absent. We need a *real* closure for the Warden not another cliffhanger.

LoL there won't be closure as long character is alive... simple warden was blank protagonist and could do lot things from being chancellor ,staying with grey wardens , or leaving them and going own way and more too much variations not mention personality that was completly up to player.Devs even said that the warden is on completly different level as isn't as defined as hawke.

agreed its was fun but i felt cheated slightly i need more. Hell i would have settled for a epilogue during witch hunt. Why on earth would you ever want the Warden back in a fully voiced game?
Because my Warden (who head-canon-wise wasn't the Warden but followed Alistair through a Darkspawn Chronicles style play through) went through hell just to get back to Cullen, and then went through hell again when she followed him to Kirkwall!
If she's alive and well, and made the Inquisitor and is reunited once more with Cullen, I will literally dance for joy in my den!

So it was confirmed in the Twitter thread by Ferico21 who was at the Edmonton Expo that we won't be seeing the Warden in DA:I. At most it's possible to hear from them.
I'm out. Deuces.

Why Hawke and not the Warden?
Hawke wasn't even as popular and they were voice acted.

Hopefully there's at least mention of their current exploits off screen. If it's just left in the air again, I'm going to be miffed. They drew obvious attention to the fact that Warden and Hawke's disappearances were inexplicably linked, so I'm not even sure why one is showing up without the other. And why Hawke had to be the one to show up. Meh to that.
Guess we'll just have to wait and see how it's handled...
