it will be gaurented handled like poo... but tgat just the anger talking.... i trust bioware...Well, balls.
Hopefully there's at least mention of their current exploits off screen. If it's just left in the air again, I'm going to be miffed. They drew obvious attention to the fact that Warden and Hawke's disappearances were inexplicably linked, so I'm not even sure why one is showing up without the other. And why Hawke had to be the one to show up. Meh to that.
Guess we'll just have to wait and see how it's handled...
Not sure if I should cry or be hopeful.. DAO warden in DAI

Why Hawke and not the Warden?
Hawke wasn't even as popular and they were voice acted.
Hawkes story never got to be finished, because they canceled the expansion pack. So instead of wasting all that hard work from the expansion pack, they have probably used parts of it in Inquisition.

I wouldn't mind, something like, when we go to meet Morrigan, she's training a mage-child, and when she sees that we've entered she tells him, "Go to your father," or some such. We see the boy go to another room with a shadowed or armored figure, and then get to weigh in our opinion of Morrigan training a mage-child in secret under the current climate.
I'm not sure what I'm expecting. Probably something like having a messenger tell you, "The warden-commander of Fereldan sends his/her regards. S/he says that..."

Man I really hope we can create our Warden again in DA:I although that quote doesn't make it very likely
he/she will probably be in full armor and in the distannce doing stuff and when the Inquisitor approaches the Warden will be
like its ok I got this
god that would suck if he appears they have to show his face

Technically, you can still play with the CC to see what your Warden would look like in-engine, since you'd have to use it either way.

<joke>Maybe the glowy thing in the trailer is the warden? Maybe it takes different forms depending on the race/class of the warden?</joke>

So long as there would be something equal to that for every other Warden too.

Fair enough. I am expecting something like the part where we find out Morrigan is training a mage child, provided she had a child and it is a mage (have my doubts if the ritual wasn't taken.) Family scenes of the warden, Morrigan, and the child, whether ritual or not, are just too cute.
At the moment I can't think of one for a warden that didn't romance her.

Yeah, morrigien can be having a fancy tea party with a female mahariel. So long as there would be something equal to that for every other Warden too.
Yeah, so it's not surprising they brought hawke back. That's precisely what they did, from what I understand.

Well, one who romanced Leliana would be easy seeing as Leliana's right there all the time. Just have her imply the Warden was at Skyhold or something while the Inquisitor was off questing somewhere, and regrets that you missed him/her because she would have loved to introduce the two of you. Boom.
Alistair and Zevran might be trickier seeing as we don't know what capacity the former appears in and the latter doesn't appear at all, though they've said there's specific content for Zevran, so...
Doesn't all have to be about romance either, mind you. Just some kind of general off-screen thing just to let you know they still exist at least.

Stuff like that's why I expect messengers.
"The warden-commander sends her regards. You seem to have impressed her. She says that the wardens that still remember their duty will be ready to aid when the time comes."
I rarely romance Zevran or Leliana, because Morrigan and Alistair are much more closely tied to the plot. I do have a few ideas, though, and as soon as I realized how closely to the plot Leliana was tied this time, I knew I needed to see what happens if one romances her.
I thought they said Zevran wasn't in this one, though?

From Gaiders tumblr
There is content in DAI specific to him, and specific to an import where he was romanced in DAO… it just doesn’t, as Mark Darrah said in the Raptr Q&A, involve a personal appearance.

Ah, I see. Wonder what that means? I doubt he'll be sending love letters to the inquisitor.
I was actually a little upset when they suggested he'd been killed off offscreen. That's an ill-fitting way to go for a major character and favored companion chief of security to the queen.

Ugh the warden will die in an offhand twitter mention like Emily Wong and then we'll come across their unrecognizable corpse in DA:I.
