To everyone who says the Warden's story is over:

Seriously.

WTF was the point of "Gone. Just like the Warden."?

Why make the insinuation if you're not going to follow up on it properly? BioWare un-retired the Warden. It's only fair that they fix their mess.

I agree. The Warden story is far from finished because Bioware, for whatever reason, decided to bring back the Warden in the second game. It was stupid from them and to be fair, the Warden's story is only finished, if you did the Ultimate Sacrifice. All the other endings are open. However, I expected this really. Hawke showing while the Warden did not was a clear indicator to me that we won't be seeing him in this game.

Don't worry. I have a pissed Surana Warden that romanced Zevran. She is going to be way worse than every gas and torch.

They probably looked at the challenges present in having the Warden appear, including the inevitable whines of "That doesn't sound like my Warden! That's not how my Warden would act!" and decided it wasn't worth it.

I'll reserve judgment till I see how the Warden's disappearance is handled in the actual game.

The warden story was never finished unless you did US and never will be finished (not mention warden story could go different paths) until their death.Simple they probably made him disappear either because they didn't decided yet what to do with him/her (and such scenario is perfect to either remove or bring them back) or to remove warden for 1 reason or another from story of next game.

I'm curious about the Awakening warden-commander.  I've never finished an awakening-only run, so I don't know how Witch Hunt ends with them.  I'd like to know how the cast reacts to them

King Alistair: So you're the warden-commander?  It's...fine, it's nothing.  You just remind me of someone...I cared very deeply about.

If it's a tainted corpse or a twitter eulogy BW can keep their damned closure.

Yeah 'sort of' translates to codex and map table. Cop out of the cheapest variety.

There really is no point in having the Warden live in the Keep. I just changed my world states. There was no point to the OGB. There was no point to the Warden surviving.

You know that sensation most of us felt when we saw the Mass effect 3 ending and the fandom was just left in an complete state of disbelief? That's how I fell right now. I'm going to buy the game, but this alone, it tainted it for me. Just... no. Why tease us with that stupid trailer showing The Inquisitor team up with Hawke and someone with Warden armor? This is bull****, plain and simple. Why give falso hopes? What was the point of keeping my warden alive? Just to play Awakening? Following Morrigan? For some fake sense of closure? This is just... I can't believe they will bring back Hawke but not the warden. We all know who the superior protagonist is.

DA keeps telling me that there's no point to these damn imports. 100$ on the Inquisitor disappearing and the game ending in a cliffhanger. At least TES is honest about it. They imply several satisfying endings for PC and allow the player to choose which one they like best. DA keeps bringing them out of retirement to turn them into footnoted texts. Hawke is only coming back because no one cares about him and if he were to give up on life it would be cool.

This series is turning into Lost levels of ridiculousness.

Jeez, you guys, Bioware says the Warden wont be appearing in Dragon Age: Inquisition save for a few mentions and you're going crazy? There are going to be more games, in which the Warden can appear. Did they say "The Warden won't be appearing ever!" today? No, of course they didn't. They just said that the physical in-game appearance of the Hero of Ferelden in Dragon Age: Inquisition didn't feel right for the story. Which makes a lot of sense considering the Warden can do the Ultimate Sacrifice.

ME 3 is like a huge scar you get on your chest.  The kind of wound that fades a bit but never properly heals.  It will quite literally, stay with you for the rest of your life.   I know I will be going to my grave still wanting closure for Shepard on my High EMS destroy ending.  It's as simple as that.

It wouldn't have happened if you had just worn armor in the first place. When BioWare pokes you with awfulness for two games, don't be surprised when they finally stab you.

Considering the Warden carries the taint, I doubt we will be seeing him in future games. DA:I was his last chance for some kind of appearance. That's why most fans are dissapointed - if the Warden is not in DA:I then chances are he won't be in any future games either and that leaves his story open-ended.

If BioWare pull the same stunt on the Inquisitor or there are no real closure for the Warden in future DA games that's it I'm out. I will be even more upset if they decide to put one protagonist on the pedestal, and kick every other protagonists out of the picture using "disappeared" as an excuse for the character's absent. Maybe they ought to call this Hawke Age after all. <_<
