It cannot be said enough. I can't stand short hair on girls....one of my biggest turn offs and even I thought Cassandra was hot in DA2. What they did to her AND Morrigan in DAI is an abomination.
You can't pick and choose what facts to use. If you use her brothers murder at the hands of bloodmages you also need to take into account the metric f#ckton of evidence that shows that she got over her hatred of mages.

Where would we heard of him? It's not that we get that much personal information about Cassandra in DA 2. They could be lovers for 10 years until - for example - he died for all we know. Or they could still be best buddies, no romance involved.
There is no way of knowing that - or Cassandra's point of view about anything, really - without actually playing the game first.
I'm a straight male gamer and my favorite romance option was Alistair in DAO (followed closely by Morrigan but that's not the point). The point is, I don't care the number of romance options I have as long as they're interesting and add meat to the story. I'm planning on playing through the game multiple times with different characters with different beliefs, sexes, classes ext.
So I really couldn't care less about the overabundance of 'masculine unattractive women'. If you don't like any of the options available to straight male gamers play a female, try a homosexual romance, or don't romance anyone at all. Bioware added romances into these games to allow players to increase their immersion and see a side of characters that you wouldn't see otherwise, not to cater to every individuals particular desire. This is a dark fantasy rpg/adventure, not a dating simulator, get over it and move on people.

Hello. After seeing the new romance options for hetro male char's, I was wondering if you'd make romance DLC. In my opinion, they're too masculine or unattractive. Many friends I know agree with me, which is kinda sad since previous versions of existing char's are more attrative. I believe there are only two or three you can romance. Which is a low number. So, since I and many others won't be using the romance feature in DA:I, I was wondering if you'd have it as DLC and knock off $5-$10 the price of the game. Thanks.

I don't think bioware has ever done any romance DLC...you might get A single character that has romance options, but thats about it.
Why would they do all those lines and dialogue and then add them in at a later date for money? (existing characters) People would flip their ****.

Also, they pretty expressly said they would not be doing it. So...yeah, not going to happen. At best, and I use this term as loosely as possible, you'll get a Tallis situation where a character makes an appearance, you kiss, and you never see each other again.

If anything this topic will likely crop up after the game is released where fans who aren't following DA news will hear about this and we'll get a larger gague of what the fans want and whether the devs want to pool their time and resources into making a DLC centered around adding more romance options. Instead of you know an engaging story, crafting materials and more areas to explore

They have confirmed that there will be no DLC LIs or even DLC characters. I believe it was said somewhere on twitter, though don't quote me on it. Unfortunately I don't have the source handy, but maybe someone else knows.

I think safe to say no dlc companions or characters means no dlc romance.
As a poster suggested, I sound spoiled. Well that may be the case, but aren't we all in some way? I work hard at a labor intensive job to make ends meat. I know it's only a game, but I like to get the most bang out of my buck. I don't think anyone would pay for an option they do not want on their car or house. So, that's why I made this post, so people could "opted out" if they didn't want to spend their money on a mechanic of the game they're not intrested in. Again, thank you.
Think about, this is a big game. There are a lot of options you are never going to utilize, a lot of choices you are never going to make. Some people aren't going to play as a dwarf. They aren't complaining about paying for a game where you can play as a dwarf just because they choose not to utilize that option. We're paying for a full game here, not the bits and pieces in the game.

Cause we actually do not know her well enough to say what your saying. Going by what we know, she kissed a mage, she crushes on a Hawke (mage Hawke is possible). Defers your rant as unbased in-game Lore wise and movie shows this as well. She doesn't hate mages, if she did, she wouldn't of kissed the male mage. Sorry, but that cancels your argument and makes you a troll instead, sad to say, but we do not know her well enough.
Also, it wasn't the tale, it was Hawke specifically, cause she says Hawke as a person directly, not the story told.
EDIT: Arishok has an interesting attitude, but I bet there would be a lady with short hair out there that could make him pause for sure. But, I don't care about just appearances myself. Appearances are misleading, when someone is trying to kill you cause she has a psychotic issue, changes perceptions of people. Yes, she is locked away in a mental hospital as I write this, but she was gorgeous. I find her ugly due to her personality.

In some peoples cases they might be, in mine they are not the hottest. As they are pixelated.

First off, I can't believe there's another one of those threads out there... Here I am, just browsing through the forum, avoiding the Cullen-ites (no offense, but they seem to have a problem with someone not liking their fav Templar^^) and then this shows up... Wow, wish I got myself some snacks^^
Okay, as to the topic... I really don't see where your problem lies... I'm a straight woman and I don't complain over the fact that one has only two straight male options (and one is CULLEN...O.O) and the rest are either bi, homosexual or racegated... As for the fact that pop-culture shaped men... it did... it really did. As a plus-size woman I'm speaking from experience here. Sadly, the same could also be said about women. Many women have this fantasized thing about the perfect guy (another thing that Cullen seems to fall into, at least in comparison to Blackwall, who is the other straight option) and is completely fine. I'm no hater or anything, to each their own I say. It wouldn't be my thing, but whoever likes that, sure, why not?!
But personally, I don't think that the straight female options are ugly or unattractive. We don't know that much about Josephine yet, so she could turn out to be a real jewel in diguise... Besides, she's a diplomat... Even if she would be visually not up to pop-culture standard (which I think is not true^^) she would be able to talk you into submission^^ I find that funny^^ And Cassandra... Well, everybody can romance a delicate wall-flower or a naive girl, but real women sometimes are pretty tough. Until you find a ***** in the figurative armour and see that they are big softies underneath. I'd be willing to find that out when I play a male Inquisitor^^
My advice, just quit whining. I'm going to play through DA:I several times, and I plan on experiencing all the romances at some point. And I'm not whining that Varric was not a romance-option either, now do I? (I actually did, but I never posted it here, I just annoyed the living daylights out of my friends *lol*)
Okay, now I'm sure that some will say that I missed the point, and I'm sure I did, but surprisingly, I don't really mind. To say that someone missed the point just means that it wasn't explained the right way *gg* And it's still early in Germany and I'm only at my first coffee, so cut me some slack *lol*
