Any particular reason this map is apparently loved so much?

Easy to clutch I guess, because it is definitely the easiest to solo. The LZ is a very defendable location and has a nicely placed ammo box.

That depends on the objectives as well during the solos. Getting Targets on this map is a pain when you don't have missiles to spare, or getting devices in the wrong area where you're completely vulnerable to enemy attack. Other than that, team games on this map is fairly easy.

RHA paradise with conveniently placed ammo boxes, predictable easy to remember spawn locations and relatively easy objectives.

I just cringed while reading this....it took me back to the "firebase white" days.  Unless you made your own room you would literally not play anything else....at least on PS3.  Its what started me only playing with people on my friends list.

 

I don't see giant that much....some daggers, usually just random random though.  SOMETIMES people want to sneak it down to silver or something if you aren't looking.  I hate that...feels like a complete waste of time....i get nothing but pennies for doing the mission.  total waste.

 

Platinum with randoms feels too much like a job....and thats inbetween the revives.  I/we usually just play gold.

Devices on giant is still one of the easiest devices objective in the game. Only one bad location. Lots of rha, nice ammo boxes, layout that makes kiting pretty easy... Overall, there's no denying that it's the easiest map to solo by far, I think.

Well, one device can lead to 2 minutes being wasted on running around and drawing the enemy, but there will always be that one enemy that stays back and observes... >_> Still, the map is easy to navigate, but I think the difficulty of the map is purely based on how you handle it and how the enemy treats you.

That would probably depends on if you do... Well, things not everyone does like pizza running and hacking hacks. I mean I know everyone and his mother does that, but I guess I'm an old fashioned stubborn guy and I don't. And if you don't run pizzas, that objective can be a real pita on white. Some hacks aren't wonderful either. So... Yeah, I love white, it's my favorite map, but if I had a solo I had to do 100%, I'd opt for giant. My 2 cents.

Pizzas a pita on White ? It's weird, I find this objective a lot more annoying on Giant...

The big cross map diagonal escort is the objective I dislike the most for Giant.

 

All I can say about this is that it is much nicer than all the platinum lobbies being set to Rio.

I found Dagger easiest to solo and Giant second

Devices are easy and it's really even easier to avoid big slow enemies than it usually is

 

Atlases will follow you to ladders and won't always start moving around them right away

Easiest larger map available. That's the reason, kitting is easy even on plat and there are not much objectives that make things hard except the middle hack.

Funny Dagger was mentioned. It's my second-most seen map lately, easily.

 

I dunno, maybe it's just because I suffer from severe hype backlash (too much of anything, even something I love, ruins it for me forever. Enjoying it at my own pace is one thing, but having it shoved in my face is another matter completely. This leads many to believe I'm a hipster or something, but it's not exactly the case; I can enjoy popular things, I just can't deal with the fanbases, usually.) but I'm just so freaking fed up with it.

 

It also doesn't help that the dagger version has NASTY memory leaks (PS3) and I keep finding Hazard Giant Collector games on random, in which your greatest enemy is the console freezing. Ugh.

If I'm hosting a public game and a lot of low level, no equipment players turn up, I normally switch to Giant.

 

If I'm gonna have to clutch, I'd rather do it on this map

I have a few hundred pug Plat extractions, and have seen it numerous times. Play more.

Rio isn't as dominant as it used to be when searching pugs. It used to be 4 out of 5 times you'd be dropped into a game in progress in Rio with box dwellers. Now Giant pretty much dominates. The other two popular ones are White (still the same damn room or the new upper hallway) and Glacier (back dead end room). To me, both are more annoying than Giant. Especially when Juggernauts are involved. The back side of the Reactor was another popular site, but not seen as much nowadays.

Then there's the idiots on Hydra...
