I would loooove a dwarven romance, but saying we have no interesting options is pretty amazing. We all have opinions, but we have a pretty wide selection of different types of people.

Just seems rather bleh

There are only eight romance options (Cassandra, Sera, Josephine, Solas, Blackwall, Dorian, Iron Bull, and Cullen).
Harding, the Inquisition's female dwarf scout leader, is not a romance option.

Explain to me in detail the romance arcs of all eight romance options and I might take your opinion seriously

I wanted a dwarf to romance. Male. Female. It didn't matter. Just one... Varric's right there! No need to even make a new companion...

Don't Know the Arcs yet haven't Plaid the game, I'm only giving my opinion based on what information i have.
I am open to the prospect of some one winning me over, But as far as going into the game i am not enthused.
@ Tarvesh Tell me about it "hey You know Varric the Guy every one likes, and Dagna The girl that made a lasting impression? Well Instead of giving you the First Dwarven romances, with 2 already proven Interesting Characters Instead Were gonna Give you Discount Tallis, and Brickwall!

Cullen, Garrus, Tali, and Gay Kaiden all tell me this is not true.

Mass Effect =/= Dragon Age
And surprisingly Cullen wasn't

A significant portion of Cassandra's fans were female, yet she is straight. Varric and Dagna, as you yourself pointed out, are not romanceable. Morrigan, Leliana, and Alistair are not romanceable. Cullen also had a gay fanbase apparently, but he is straight. Neither Celene nor the Divine are romanceable.

Varric's fanbase is pretty huge and filled with people who wanted a romance, so I wouldn't say popularity factors much into it.

Cassandra and Cullen Were still Heavily requested and were then made Romancable, Just because not every one got them doesn't stop this from applying.
Morrrigan, Lelianna, and Alistair are all Spoken for potentially.
And Vairic dose not compare to Celene or the Divine, People have been begging for him since Hype began for the last game.

Just because people have been requesting Cass and Cullen to be romances still doesn't make them fanserves, you even counted your own arguement when you brought up the fact that people have been begging for Varric
A fanbase does not play a major factor in making a romanceable character

And yet Varric is not a romance.
Perhaps you could try wrapping your mind around the idea that the writers choose the characters that THEY think would have the most interesting romances, rather than what fans want. If they did everything the fans wanted, than we would have a lot of things in-game that we do not have.
Writing and cinematic design (major parts of any character interaction, including romances) are expensive for the developers. They are unlikely to toss resources at a character for a romance just to please one section of the fanbase.
