Yeah, and I sort of dislike the two we've seen that are clearly visible, which is why I'm a tad worried.  :/  And I remember someone saying if you looked really closely you could see the male elf's tattoos - I'm in the same boat as you, I still can't see them!  I hope the design that's on the elf in the Enemy of Thedas trailer is one that we can choose, since I really like that one.  Do you think we'll get simple and complex versions like we did in DA:O if we played as a Dalish?

 

That would make sense, imo.  Hopefully there will be simple and complex designs just like in DA:O.

Yes, that one at least resembled a tree, so it was most likely a symbol of Mythal.  No idea what the female Inquisitors we've seen so far have been sporting... they are far too abstract for me to guess, and I've studied them closely.

 

I really hope we have the option of more complex, obvious designs, but I have no idea if that will be the case... you'd think they'd have shown at least one normal vallaslin by now if they still existed, but perhaps that's just pessimism talking.

*sigh* I just can't see it... I mean, if it really is there but it's that small and faint, what's the point?  At this rate, the people of Thedas would need to carry magnifying glasses at all times to spot a Dalish.

 

Tbh though, if most of the vallaslin are abstract, I could see myself taking something inconspicuous like what this guy has.

I never posted in the thread because I love the Dalish and I don't like circular arguments forever where people aren't genuine and everything is stressful, lmao.

I'm doing dwarf first, but elf is gonna be second...or concurrent....we'll see....

 

I also hope the tattoos still have more traditional vallaslin look. I wanna plaster all over my face that I'm Dalish so those shems know whats up

I just like it because it's obvious and it looked good on the concept art for my male Dalish.  xD  But the Mythal connection would be rather obvious, assuming this design is even a choice for us.

 

And I don't know if I can find a clearer picture of it, but there was this female...

...and I thought maybe the design was reminiscent of smoke.  Sylaise, maybe?  But it feels like a stretch to say that.  I guess we'll just have to see if they show anything off tomorrow (or today, if you live in my time zone)!  Right now it's a little early to be writing the vallaslin options off when we've only seen a handful.  For all we know they've just been feeding us the simpler ones.

So much this! It always bugged me that I couldn't have my Warden have those cool. long elf ears that alot of the other elves did :/ (Especially so for my Dalish Warden)

I never really played around with it, but I thought there was some way to change the angle of the ears in DA:O... or maybe I'm thinking of a different game...  I don't think they could be as long as the ones in DA2 though, if that's what you two are talking about.

 

The ones in the screenshots they've shown look pretty good, but they all seem very similar... one more reason for them to show an elven Quizzy in the CC.

Yeah you could only increase the size of the ears, they still stayed glued to your head though :/

Definitely want some as long as the ones in DA2! I like my elves with prominent ears

True, the different sliders for facial features looked incredibly in-depth.  This is probably the best CC I've ever seen... I'm sure we'll all be able to make our chars look perfect.  Exactly as we envision them.  :>

 

I do like that they  mentioned we could have Casteless brands... I guess that means we can rp that our dwarves originally came from Orzammar?  Or maybe they just liked the design... xD  Actually they might have taken it to mock Orzammar... it could go any number of ways tbh.
