is shadow of mordor actiony more so than rpg'ish? im kind of burnt out on the twitch play style of games these days.

I assume you all have seen this by now, but just in case, here is the latest elf Inquisitor pic... he even has a noticeable vallaslin this time:

 

 

Looks like we can make the ears prominent even if we have thick hair...

is shadow of mordor actiony more so than rpg'ish? im kind of burnt out on the twitch play style of games these days.

I would say so, yes. I played it for less than an hour and it was kinda like the Arkham series in the Middle Earth.. but there was some neat features like when I defeated a group of uruks some of them fled, minutes later I see in the distance the same uruks accompained by reinforcements sweeping the area that the combat took place...

interesting, maybe i'll keep an eye out for it, i did like the Arkham City game (didn't play the first one, and I don't think I have the nerves to do the third one. <--- being kind of burnt out when coupled with Skyrim.)

I just realized, this Inquisitor is pretty much identical to the mental image of Garahel I had all throughout Last Flight.

"That Russian leak?"  Did details from the game get leaked or something?  Right before DA2, somebody spammed the forums with spoilers from every quest a few weeks before launch, so that has me nervous...

 

Well anyway, she's super cute!  And such amazing detail in those graphics... o.O

So cute. I also do like that vallaslin. It's both delicate and symmetrical.

I read it. TBH I didn't find it that bad. To me, even a semi-interested Dragon Age fan could've guessed at what was supposedly spoiled. But yeah, anybody wishing to avoid spoilers should stay clear

Her ears are so cute.     And I think that vallaslin design is better than the ones we've seen thus far.  I'm still holding out hope for this one, though (pic is from the Enemy of Thedas trailer, but I thought if we were enforcing a spoiler policy I'd go ahead and stick with it early):

Okay, so to kick off the inevitable vallaslin analysis, do you think the one shown in the CC demo on the female elves is Ghilan'nain?  It looks similar to the one from DA:O that most theorize is Ghilan'nain's design.

Yeah, I think Icy mentioned on an earlier page that the design from the EoT trailer looks like it could be Mythal.  This would tie in with lore, since we know that dahl'amythal is the elvish name for the "Tree of Mythal," from which Keepers carve their staves.

 

The one from this new screenshot looks a lot like a stylized halla head, plus it vaguely resembles the old one that looked like halla horns.
