As someone who has pursued something local in the past I can say that most people are insane.

and not the good kind of "This will probably go somewhere interesting in the bedroom" kind of insane.

I'm prone to agree. No surprise considering I'm pretty sure we live in the same city if I'm remembering correctly.

As to the OP's question, my answer is a big fat "No'. As someone who's gone through this, there's major issues with the entire notion. The first being the big roll of the dice that's the location of the other person(and all the issues that pertain to LDRs) and then there's the fact that a lot of these gaming chicks are just the female version of your typical omega male neckbeard(with their awkwardness,social inscecurities,etc).

 

Stay away from these broads and pursue something local. You'll thank me later.

 

I'm sorry but that's bullshit right there... just because a woman is a gamer it doesn't mean that she is automatically awkward or insecure etc., she can be a gamer, hot, kind and have an awesome personality at the same time, it's possible, you've just been unlucky, maybe because you had the wrong approach to these women to begin with, you start by becoming friends first and foremost and then you'd be surprised what hides behind those usernames once they reveals themselves to you.

That's why internet dating is such a waste of time. You can love the hell someone's personality but if there is no physical attraction there then it's not gonna work. Since 90% of what you read/see on the internet is FALSE... You might as well be spending your time looking for real unicorns!

Well of course there has to be psychical attraction, I'm not arguing with you on that at all, I'm just saying that it is possible that a person can be both attractive and have an awesome personality and on top of it also be a gamer. I think it may be the approach of it that's wrong here, you dont approach people by asking them if they are hot or not cause then you are gonna attract the wrong kind of people plus its also chance and luck of course... you just never know.. as I said it worked out for my sis who happens to look like a model btw, she could have gotten any guy she wanted but she chose a bald guy and why did she do that? Because she fell for his personality while they were playing online and then when they met she didn't like his type but she gave him a chance and now they are married with kids!

It worked out for me.

 

But I can't say it's a good idea. Especially when you're basing attractiveness from the sound of their voice. You have to see pictures of them first and better yet, video chat with them. Then you'll have an idea of who you're talking to.

Alright, Rational opinion incoming. Just because she likes to be online does NOT mean she's ugly, Or that she has a weak personality, People need to realize that some people prefer the online world for their own respective reasons. If you're feeling that she's the one, Then go ahead. But beware though, She could be a fake, The interest is swarming with these kind of people.
