I'm 80% certain that OP is an ironic attempt to point out at that we gamers are terrible people. Either that, or it's simply more evidence that we gamers are terrible people.
Can Bioware please be more careful with their promotional material? These mistakes need to stop.

There's also Solas's hand fusing with a rock. Can't say I really care about it though, it's still lightyears ahead of DAO's marketing when it comes to professionalism.

Spoiler
That's part of Solas' thing.. He likes nature so much he melds into it at will.

Ignoring the pre order comment, like I said there's been a lot of clipping issues in their videos and images. Here's one example in the beginning of the vid:
http://i.4cdn.org/v/1411975796253.webm
Another such example is this image of Vivienne where her right hand is clipping through her staff:
Not having a single glitch showing in a still of your game that you're gonna use for a promotional shot, shouldn't be a difficult thing to do. Yet this has happened more than once.
it is not a big deal, the art is not an accurate representation so what? where is the issue here? these pictures do not in way ruin the game

Would you take a picture of a burnt steak to advertise the steak at your new restaurant, even though it doesn't accurately represent your food?

No. This is more like showing a piece of steak which has been very slightly overcooked.
agreed it is a mistake but not a fatal one no one will die from it
Tell that to some of the people in this thead, they're acting like the veil will tear because of this mistake.

Dude, how hard is to to take a still image of your game without having ANY glitches being present?

Show me any game that uses in game footage in promotional material that does not have any clipping in it.

More like "Show me footage that doesn't have clipping AND is an accurate depiction of the gameplay".
ArmA 3's promotional has no clipping, no nothing.
Then you start up the game, and it's one bug next to another. But Maker, do I love that game.

If those mother¤¤¤¤s at Bioware screw another bowstring picture they deserve to be burned at the stake! You have only one chance now, you hear me Gaider, Laidlaw and others?!
Also burn that Sera-Witch who holds her bow so wrong.
So Sera 's made of wood?

Why are you even asking that, you know I easily could. Clipping in footage is one thing. It happens once in a while. But clipping being clearly visible in a single still image? You either gotta be careless or not care at all to make that kinda mistake repeatedly. That's why I wanted to address it. Not raise a fuss, but to address it. I know I'm not being unreasonable here.

You are right on all counts OP, however I personally like to see these imperfections as it shows me these screens aren't bullshots - there is no open world game without clipping. The Sera thing is an oversight, tho
Well like I said, I know mistakes are made and that I'll most likely run into some in the game. Unless it's really bad, or even gamebreaking, then whatever it's not a big deal at all to me. But obvious mistakes like these shouldn't have a place in promotional material.

Yeah, I agree with this. It's not "OMG, EVERYTHING IS RUINED!!!". Instead, what the issue with this is, is that it displays a level of sloppiness and lack of QC that should not be present in a project the size of DA:I.

I'd much rather have it it's a breath of fresh air in comparison to modern marketing where you have to assume things are 50x worse then what they look.

That is a really dickish thing to say. How about I come to your work and say each time you make a mistake or oversight I say your lazy and you're not doing your job properly.

You need to learn to relax.
I didn't notice most of these issues, and the ones I did notice were barely noteworthy. And I agree with the other poster, I hate seeing "perfect" promo stuff for games. I'd rather have a realistic view of what mistakes could possibly be found in the game. But that's just me, obviously.
The point is your taking this way too seriously.

Hey peeps, what if, and only if, these mistakes take place in PROMOTIONAL art which supposed to be flashy and high calibre tweaked to the last pixel to draw attention, only shows the rest of the content is even worse? O_O clipping EVERYWHEEERE!
So, party member on the left of my inquisitor will have my shield on him/her and someone in the back will have a floating inquisitors sword next to him? Oh the horror! THE HORROR!
The worst thing in this situation is the position of person who created those pieces. I tell you, anyone would have a dark day when his supervisor comes to his desk and asks: did u take a step back to look at your art? tell me what's wrong in this picture...

Most of the retsaurants is doing it, just the other way around.
Ever heard about the "advertised vs real burger" ?

Yeah. LOL.
Sorry to tell you but you've just made a fool of yourself with this thread. Too much nitpicking, even for BSN.
