Can Bioware please be more careful with their promotional material? These mistakes need to stop.

are people supposed to respond to this type of lunacy with friendliness and understanding? If anything we are doing him a favor by dissuading him from it. What if he shows up at a job interview and starts nitpicking the look and size of the employers chest hair or loose buttons and generally starts acting crazy. This has nothing to do with being a "fan" , its about common sense. I would have said the same thing if it was promo for something else.

I find it improper to call the criticism of the image "this type of lunacy". The image is immediately ridiculous and reflects badly upon DA:I and Bioware. There's nothing wrong in bringing this up. I find the many attacks on the OP considerably more objectionable, and, frankly, not particularly reasonable.

*shakes head*

I highly highly doubt you ever regularly fired a bow with the string on the OUTSIDE of your holding arm as shown in the Sera picture, normal holding style (perpendicular to ground) or 'gansta' style (parallel to ground). May have done it once.....

But enough said about that now, since how Sera has her arm in relation to the bow string is incorrect, and if she went to draw that back......would be physically awkward and hard to aim....also painful.

Well I mentioned using the bow horizontal, and the way Sera placed the arrow. That's it. How you place the string is not where my focus is. People claiming you can't shot correctly with a bow horizontally have obviously never tried.

Just goes to show that one should not go questing after a party at The Hanged Man, or after being tossed by the Iron Bull; your choice.

:D

Prefer Nugs to nits....

The quiver thing is a non-issue to me, and that bow string mistake is probably easy to overlook.  I'd much rather them work out the bugs in the game than have multiple people eyeball a promotional poster for discrepancies.

A mountain out of a mole hill, IMO.

The people working on bugs and the people creating marketing material are not the same. Like, at all. In fact, you could argue that they serve the exact same purpose. Making sure their assigned piece of media is polished to as much perfection as it can be before it gets sent out to be viewed by the public eye. A bowstring on the wrong side of the arm is not only ridiculous, but actively dangerous to the wielder. I know the damage a bowstring can do to an unprotected forearm, I did archery for 3 years. We are not asking that Bioware cease bugsquashing, nor are we threatening to cancel our preorders. We simply think that obvious and glaring mistakes (they gave her proper protection for archery, damnit, they obviously know what they are doing in regards to handling bows) not be made as we know Bioware can do better, as evidenced by the rest of these promotional images, all of which (mistakes aside) look awesome.
