So, my question to you is: Have you been in one or more of these games recently. If so, could you share some details with me? What did you you see, etc?

Right now 360 is no play at all, so no.
No, I've never played with Crashsuit.
I have, once, but the game was vanilla.
I have landed in a modded lobby - well, I was invited. Spawned in and there were about 50 Husks just gawping at me. It was mad fun. But only because the guys who invited me were super about it.

No, I've never played with Crashsuit.
I also played with him once, but unfortunately the game wasn't modded. He was running around with a Chakram launcher, but that's it...disappoint.
I wrote about this briefly in the "last pug in 1 word thread" but I ran into modded geth/rio lobby that for whatever reason the host thought it was fun to fill the map with every hunter in existence. I left seconds after joining. Before last night though, I can't remember the last time.

Been in a couple of platinum horde modes recently - but I was invited so that probably doesn't count ![]()
As an aside - Vorcha Hunter Engineer + Falcon on Horde mode is lots of lulz!

That must have been quite a sight to behold. Reminds me of a game where I saw about 200 Geth Troopers and Pyros upon spawning in. Or that game in progress I landed in with about 100 Guardians with their shields facing me.I also played with him once, but unfortunately the game wasn't modded. Considering I like using my sniper rifles with penetration mod for PUG searches, I'd cackle like a Krogan in bloodrage at the sight of so many heads to pop.

Pfft and here's me feeling bad for hacking for credits! I was 360 hours in, well past getting BOTB banner, but still not even a Harrier I!

Why would you feel bad for that? Unless you give other random players who aren't looking for a biljon credits that, who cares? Creating custom waves is pretty innocent, too, unless it's too overwhelming for the people you bring along. If anything, those mods make the game more challenging and fun.

Shady story time. TL;DR: Modded Geth pls.
I had a similar game way back when (sometime in July if I remember right). I dropped into a lobby with these two German dudes who were kind enough to tell me and the other puggernaut that they were running a "monster game." Well we ended up in London/ Geth which under normal circumstances can be described as moderately painful and I thought about quitting but I was interested to find out just how modded the game would turn out to be. Turned out to be a mixture of Hunters (predominantly), Troopers and Rocket troopers at first and Hunters, Rocket troopers (predominantly), Pyros and Primes later on. In other words, it was a class-A, gold standard fustercluck.
Our Juggy (and the other two, to a lesser extent) got pummeled so hard it wasn't even funny. Guy must've popped three gels in the opening minute of wave 1. I came up with the idea to camp the high ground and we ran with it for the rest of the game. We had our PPR TGI cover the stairs on the left, Juggy and Shaman took the ones on the right and my (Turricane) job was to light up any sentient toaster trying to cross the skybridge and occasionally bolster the others (or call for backup) if they were getting overrun. Teamwork and voice comms for the win. Surprisingly, it worked. Waves were over ridiculously quickly, my guess would be that they forgot to increase the wave budget while putting a ton of high cost bad guys on the field. Objective waves however, are not limited by budget...
Wave 3 devices cost me all of my gels, and a couple of ops packs, the same applied to the other guys on the team. We got targets for wave 6 which left me with only one missile so you can imagine my reaction when we got hack for wave 10. At least the RNG gods were kind enough to give us the drop-zone hack but it was still unbelievably painful. All we could do was revive each other, pop up from cover to take a shot or two (before getting health gated) or fire a missile and hope that the AI for Geth Hunters is incapable of flanking. We made it.. Barely. Like 30 seconds left barely. Our Shaman and myself were the only ones still up and I was pretty much sure it was game over at this point. No gels, no missiles and a bunch of Primes, Rocket Troopers and Hunters closing in. Then the Shaman goes "I have idea, come" and guns it to the little corner that's to the left of the DZ where enemies usually spawn at. Shaman got killed while running there but gave me just enough time to reach it. 3 things: God bless the stupid Geth AI, God bless thermal clip packs and God bless AP ammo IV. These idiots practically formed a conga line and couldn't wait to get a chance to walk right into my sights.
So we make it through w10 and extraction wave comes up... 30 Primes spawn and all of us are out of consumables... Less than a minute later: "Mission scrubbed, returning to base." Funny thing is, because non-objective waves were over so quickly, the game took us something like 21 minutes. Which is faster than some vanilla pug games I've been in.

Going back on topic: Modding is a game of finesse and there's a very thin line b/w making a mod that is fun and making one that is impossible to beat, frustrating or simply ridiculous (for example, whole map is filled with enemies so there's literally no place to move).
I was actually in a modded Condor/ Reapers game yesterday with a bunch of cannibals and marauders and while it wasn't the most optimized mod out there (my frame rate dropped to single digits several times), it didn't feel like it was over the top. Also my friend and I still do modded UUG "insanity" runs pretty regularly. Preferably with friends but sometimes public. And from what I've seen so far, people seem to enjoy these games. We had literally zero people leave while in lobby, even though all of them got the standard prepare your anus warning (this is a modded game, more enemies, enemies more aggressive and challenging, leave if you're not into that sort of thing etc..) and we had like one dude leave mid game. Also about 85% (rough estimate) of folks stay for a 2nd run.

Whenever I run into a modded game (Modded wave comp. more specifically) it's been so glitchy/laggy I can't be bothered. Unfortunate as I'd quite like to try em.

That would be the host's fault. Putting more enemies on a map drains memory and CPU. If they can't handle it, they're gonna suffer frame problems.

The enemy mod I'd really be interested in playing would be adding SP enemies to MP. Ramparts for Cerberus, Adjutants for Reapers, and robodogs for Geth because why not.
Not sure if it's entirely impossible, but if it were to work, you'd need everyone in the lobby to have the Omega DLC.

I asked around at the ME3 modding forums, and while they didn't say it's impossible, they were definite that it hasn't been done yet.
IF you succeed in adding robodogs to the MP, please make them really OP ![]()

If I can learn how to edit waves and enemies, I would test things out to see if it can't be done.

People tend to get carried away in their mods and at times create something that is not refreshing but annoying as hell. Once, I got in a lobby where in wave 4 goddess reapers, everyone went down and there were about 15-20 enemies at any given time and the wave lasted much much longer. I did it with not too much difficulty since I was running reegar asari valkyrie, but it was annoying as hell. I even said to the host that dude, put some brains in your modding if you are modding. Duh!

Well, I'm barely playing this game any more and I took a few months break until fairly recently, and I hadn't encountered this at all before, but l already saw it happen in those few matches I've played since then. At first I just thought there was some glitch because on one wave there were a crapload of Nemesis, but since that happened again with other types of enemies I realized it was actually modded.
Sidenote: Who the hell would be so crazy to put like 25 LolGoons on wave 11 Cerberus Gold? Nearly failed extraction because of that madness ![]()
