Currently I'm working as much as I can, to make some money while waiting to begin studying. I work as a substitute teacher at a local school, and as a waiter in the weekends. I'm 20 years old, and I'll begin studying at law school in September.

I'm on welfare and a silly job coach program that really don't work since we got about 20% unemployment where i'm from.
Had a new company open up in town last year, and about 6000 people wanted the 50 jobs that became available, sadly only about 20 of them were full time jobs.
And one of the biggest companies, "Ericsson" just closed their facilities in the city, alone increasing the cities unemployment with 1%, not to mention the companies under, delivering things to them.

In my last year at uni studying Games Technologies, next year I hope to be a programmer for some games company, but that is, of course, a lot easier said then done...

My husband studied game programming. He has done well and not been out of school that long. Are you in the U.S?

I don't do anything yet. But actually, if I complete the university year, I'll get 1300 euros, wich is basically 400 euros more than the fee I had to pay to get into the university...

I don't really have a job yet. I do things for the local theatre which I get paid some for - lighting and sound, make-up, and directing (I'm directing a show right now, in fact) - but it's not much money. I do it because I enjoy it. Getting paid is just a nifty bonus.
I intend to keep on doing theatre and do something with art at some point as well, though who knows what I'll actually end up doing.

School, learning for Abitur (that is, the exam to finish in Germany, required for studying). Though, in fact, most of the time I don´t learn.

I'm a musician. Most of my work is commissioned for TV, movie and game soundtracks. I've also been known to DJ on occasion, though I don't make a habit of it.

I kept my parttime job at the supermarket after I finished school while I look for a better job. Its been three years and no luck yet.
At the moment the economical crisis is my biggest enemy, I have an education in retail as far up that I am allowed to be chef but retail feels more of the crisis than any other branche it seems.
I am hoping to get a job at an office, but its kind of difficult to translate the mumbo jumbo that they call a job advertizement since they do their best to make it sound far more difficult than it is, which often intimidates me.
But at least I am making money, not enough to move out on my own, but enough to save up money quite fast so that I can move out as soon as I have another job and am sure I will stay employed there.
My dream would be to work on something far more creative, but even without a crisis it is very difficult to get a job in such a career path, and it would very likely require me to move away from home or travel several hours each day. I would miss my family too much, and it would be too much of a risk. If such a plan fails I would have lost a huge part of my savings and be stuck in another city that I dont like or lose the rest of my savings to move back.
Sorry for the rant, I just feel frustrated because I feel I have all the potential in the world but never get the chance to show it.

I'm a full-time college student
I would love to have an actual job, but with school and other unavoidable things going on right now, I have almost zero time.
Still looking for a part-time job though!
Seems my only options at the moment are:
fast food
grocery store / wal*mart
gas station
So, yay for me

I kick ass and chew bubblegum
...And I'm all out of asses.
Anyway, no one around here would even consider hiring a high-school student for a part time job when there are plenty of grown men and women who would work full time, for less.
