I hated the gold solo I did with the juggy, picked reapers and in retrospect should have probably taken Cerberus instead (It was Hydra,btw)
Ouch, Hydra is a very open map though. I can see why Giant is favourable; I use it for my gold solos as you can treat it like a circuit to kite enemies. The bunker bit by the LZ on Giant could come in very handy to just camp with the Jugger and let them come to you.
So last night I completed two gold solos using ReegarNaught on Giant - first reapers, then Cerberus. Completed the first in ~36 mins, second was ~34 mins. I found it very easy. I spent most of the time camping in the bit straight ahead of the LZ, where the tall ladder is. I just camped in there, spamming hex sheild and only using Seige pulse to detotnate FEs on Brutes/Atlases etc.
I've promoted my character again, but once I'm back up to 20, I'm going to try platinum. This build is terrible for team play, but for soloing it's brilliant:

Once you get 1 Platinum solo under your belt you will gain a lot of confidence and you can try doing the Platinum solo with some kit that you really want to do it with. Solos are very easy, all you need to do is let the AI come to you in a fortified location and kill them from there.
Up to this moment, I really had no idea you could headshot with the Reegar.
I managed headshot medals in several of my Reegar Cheese Kroguard solos
actually got 20 Headshots with the Reegar on the FQI vs Collectors (mostly abombs and Captains) in a gold trio on Dagger
I would make gold solo and platinum solo vids, but my frames take such a hit that it's extremely painful to aim.
Easiest = Flamer trooper + Acolyte or reegar. He's durable and flamer is just an easy to use power. Don't think you gonna have much problem outside of objective waves. As some has said, jug isn't particularly easy to solo with. You can just dash away from enemies that ave grouped up on you so positioning is very important for him.
I tried soloing with him but the fact that you get staggered if you are not careful kinda kills it (it takes a good second for you to recover, making backing away more difficult). Easiest faction - collectors.
Just get a TGI Harrier with grenade capacity V and set the map to Giant hazard. That's what all the pros do.

I heard that Rank 7b on Hardened Platform enables running, but the Jugg has stamina....
Well first attempt, I failed at wave 7. Second, wave 4, then wave 7 again on third. I'm determined to crack this, even if I use a crutchy juggernaut on crutchy giant.
My first attempt (GT flamer build on giant/reaper/p) failed at 7, got stuck in structure and banshee grab... Smooth up to that point.

True. I'll try another kit. I'm just happy that I actually got this far. I thought I'd have wiped by wave 2 at the most. Having said that, if I play a character that can get grabbed then I likely will...

Try attempting it with Turian Ghost/Havoc with Incendiary Reegar and Grenade Capacity. If you are in danger just pop some pills and recover your shields.
I dunno that I'd call it "easy-mode", maybe more "I managed to survive mode", but I did Cabal vs Reapers on Giant. Tank-build Cabal. Shoot bad guys, run away, shoot, run away, shoot, run away, etc. Took me almost 2 hours and I never ever want to do it again.
I can easily get to wave 8 with my "normal" kits, but I always, always end up sync-killed.

Yeah I'll give that a go mate. Gotta love the TGI. Would have never thought to use the Reegar with him though, I always slap the harrier on
