They are not there yet. That particular stage is the game going gold (i.e.: ready to be sent out to disk pressing). Game requirements CAN be nailed down sooner if the QA found little variation in performance stability and depending on what they may still want to change for the game at that point, but rule of thumb is a game going gold is about the time when system requirements are finalized enough to publish.

Is it usual for a game to gold this close to release?

Yes.

Well, i'`m not that much in into news. But i bought the game for PC for the first time in a Bioware game. So i'm kinda scared with the quality of my machine.

You can get an idea of where you stand by reading up on Frost Bite 3 requirements and games that run on it. That should get you close.

You should know that the Frostbite engine is pretty adaptable. It's not the like Cry engine, designed to burn through PCs to reach the visual apex on a mountain of destroyed rigs. I have little doubts that DAI will run on PCs that most people wouldn't think possible. The only question is how well it will run.

I am buying a new rig and sadly I am on a low budget this time around (my first gaming pc had a budget of $5,000) this time around I have only around $1,000 budget and thats pushing it more like $800-850 :( .

So I am looking a this rig and wonder how it stacks up right now.

4th Generation Intel® Core™ i5 Processor

Windows 8.1
 64 bit

8GB Memory

NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 750Ti 2GB GDDR5

~$850 might not seem like a lot, but you still can do much, much better than a 750Ti. Trust me, I'm actually in the market for building a new rig too - this is what I managed to come up with. It's got a fourth gen i5 and 8GB of DDR3, but it swaps the 750Ti  for a GTX 970, which is one of the best cards you can buy at any price. The CPU shouldn't bottleneck the GPU much, from what I've read (though it won't be overclockable). It should absolutely tear through anything you can throw at it, for just a little over $800.

Is that $800 for just the GPU or the whole rig? and is that GPU a nvidia made card or is a cheap version made by an outside company using the 970  chip set if so then no thanks.

My total budget includes everything...not just the price of the card.

Click the link in my original post (or heck I'll relink it just in case you couldn't see it - click here). As you can see at the bottom, the whole rig would cost around $800. The GTX 970 is usually around $320 - 350 (which, sidenote, is so incredibly cheap for performance that just weeks ago cost $600+ that its basically causing chaos in the video card market). Understandably right now it's sold out pretty much everywhere. Also, I'll just throw in that if your case from your previous build is ATX compatible you can probably keep that and save yourself a little more.

Anyhow bottom line is an $800 budget can get you a lot more than you might think.

*EDIT*: I forgot to add memory to the build before I totalled it. *Facepalm*. Ok, updated total is actually closer to $900. Still pretty good for what you get though.

It's kinda all over the place. BF4 is super demanding for both CPU and graphics card, but Plants VS Zombies? Not so much...

I paid like 1000 bucks on my pc confuguration. Of course, it was expensive like that because of the price pieces in my main country. But i'`m pretty surei can run the game. Hoppefuly. Yo ucan always play on lower settings or decrease the graphical capbalities.

Sorry I didn't see that part of your question when I replied before. Right now, all the 900-series GeForce cards are sold by 3rd party OEMs. For the GTX 980, there is a reference card you can buy (i.e. a card with NVIDIA's cooler and design), but you'll still have to get it from one of the 3rd party OEMs (and they usually slap their own sticker on it).  Also the GTX 980 costs twice as much for a relatively marginal increase in horsepower. Unfortunately there isn't a reference design card for the GTX 970, so all GTX 970s will be individually designed by their OEM. NVIDIA still does quality checks on these though, and enthusiasts I've heard from seem pretty happy with them.

Thanks for your info and help still may go with my first option because its the cleanest and quickest way for me...no assembly required on my part and it comes with windows and all neccessary software installed...basically just plug and play.

Of course. I can't blame you for wanting simplicity and convenience. Not everyone has the time or patience to research boring tech stuff or tinker with their computer. ;)

The thing is I ordered my graphics cards a couple months before the 980 and 970 came out, also mantle and I'm not sure if sli 970s perform better at 4k vs xfire 290x's. I realize 4k isn't necessary but I've never a practical person XD

i would say so  they can pull down  4k textures out of a 1920x 1080 screen so i say they will   kill it in 4k

4K isn't only not necessary, there's no GPU yet strong enough (even in SLI/CrossfireX) that can reliably perform at around 60 fps for demanding games and I do not see that change until the next generation of GPUs comes about (either Nvidia Pascal or AMD "Faraway Islands" (name is only a rumor)).

Triple and quad SLI/CrossfireX do theoretically have enough power to fuel demanding games at 4K resolution, but multi-GPU setups are still fickle and aside from decreasing returns with multiple GPU scaling, whilst they do perform, they don't perform reliably.

For a gaming focused build, I'd go for WQHD at most.

I don't mind not getting 60+ fps if I'm playing a single player game like DA, Skyrim, fallout 3 etc. As I long as my frames are 40+ I can live with it. Also I'm not going be playing every game in 4k because I tend to playing older games. I just like having the option of 4k.

It's less about getting enough frames per second and more about frame stability. 40 fps average wouldn't be bad, but it's bad when you jump from 30 to 60 and back. Too large framerate variation just looks wrong when you experience it. Then there's also tearing and micro stuttering that aren't yet eliminated from SLI/CrossfireX setups and only get emphasized the more you task your GPUs.

4K is just not a mature technology yet, give it a year and it might be worth looking at it, but right now, you get significantly more bang for your buck by going with a WQHD monitor and the PC to power that to your satisfaction.

We'll see, I haven't ordered the monitor yet I'm only 40% done this build anyway.

If you want a kickass WQHD monitor, look no further than to the Asus PG278Q. 1440p @ 144Hz, GSync and everything else that makes a gamer's heart go into cardiac arrest from joy (and his wallet's from panic).

Currently the best high resolution gaming monitor.

Though if you are satisfied with around 40'ish fps and only play singleplayer games, you can go for a normal WQHD display, possibly something like the PB278QR for a high quality IPS display instead of going for a gaming oriented TN display. Then you can run that monitor with a single R9 290X. Including the lower cost of the monitor and one GPU off the budget, you save around 700 bucks right there.
