And that should be more than enough if the rest of the game is already mostly being shown on a PC. What does showing of the mouse and keyboard UI in footage or a stream change about the actual look of the game on the PC?Oh right. That one screenshot
. *slow clap*
So were are the PC system requirements?

I saw shadows.
They weren't visible in the Deep Roads segment.
We have seen the PC UI in a screenshot. I don't see why some absolutely need to see the game being played with the PC UI when it doesn't change anything whatsoever about the quality of the game considering even with the console UI the game is still being played on a PC.
The PC requirements will be released as soon as they know them. It takes time to test out everything on various PC setups and BioWare is simply pushing it rather close to release but that has got nothing to do with advertising more for consoles.
We saw only one screenshot whereas every demo and every other screenshot has been played/shown on a controller.
We haven't even seen it in action. We have no idea how it will play out beyond what the devs say.

The response was to an attempt at rebutting my claim that xBox is being favored in the advertising by showing all gameplay with its UI. It wasn't a jab at game's quality on PC itself.

I don't see how it would play out much differently from previous games. We know what the tactical mode is like and most PC gamers know how to use a mouse and keyboard. I fail to see why it needs to be seen in action when it is just an UI and when it doesn't change anything about how the game is played other than using different peripherals. We saw only one screenshot whereas every demo and every other screenshot has been played on a controller.

It matters cause the MKB UI is nerfed to 8 skill slots to match the limitations of console controllers. It's a valid concern seeing how it wasn't the issue with any other DA game. Limiting the skill selection to 8 skills at all times limits the tactical choices as well and will likely make the tactical mode less... well - tactical than it was in Origins. And this limitation is simply unnecessary and will likely cause a lot of backlash cause tactical cam and more skill variety have been among top requests for features to bring back from Origins after DA2.

Imagine being a developer and you are showing of a game at a convention. What would you much rather use if you are actually standing on a stage presenting your game while you are playing the game? One could opt to have someone else play the game behind some desk with another person being the speaker/presenter but if you truly want to show off the ropes of a game more easily it makes more sense for a presenter to show off the game him/herself with a controller because you don't have to sit down for it.The response was to an attempt at rebutting my claim that xBox is being favored in the advertising by showing all gameplay with its UI. I honestly believe some PC gamers are just too fearful about PC gaming and its future and that is coming from someone (me) who is also a PC gamer.

Right. And this is the reason why that controller has to be an xBox controller rather than any other gamepad
. Come on. You have to see some degree of favoritism here.

I thought it was weird that there was no Vsync turned on. The screen tearing was noticeable
I'm more concerned with what seems to be a rather poor PC optimization which was apparent in the livestream. Not to mention that there's still no gameplay with PC UI. i hope that doing favors for Microsoft and Sony doesn't extend beyond advertizing.
Unless you have a really high end pc. You are going to get not the greatest experience live streaming a game that's not even in it's final build

It is a new game so there is no such thing as it having been nerfed. BioWare simply wanted to create a different type of game. The whole game has likely been created with the limitation in mind. I don't see it as being positively linked to the limitation of consoles considering previous DA games didn't have a limit set on abilities on consoles either. It matters cause the MKB UI is nerfed to 8 skill slots to match the limitations of console controllers. I don't understand why the took this path DA:O and DA:2 both had 14 slot action bar now we only get 8 that is odd

Again, I disagree. What favoritism? Seriously, why should the developers have to show off different controllers when an Xbox controller is readily available. I don't see why they need to buy a different brand and show off multiple brands so that some don't scream favoritism. It is just plain nonsense. I guess because I own an xbox controller for my PC I must be favoring the xbox as well now.Right. And this is the reason why that controller has to be an xBox controller rather than any other gamepad

And just in case, no, I don't play RPGs or want to play RPGs with my controller.

Dragon age 1 and 2 had real UI' and console had that 8 slot maping for the controller what you said made no sense at all

You are making no sense. DAO and DA2 had access to more than 8 abilities on the consoles. That shows that the claims that the consoles are limiting the amount of abilities for DAI on PC are just plain nonsense.Dragon age 1 and 2 had real UI' and console had that 8 slot maping for the controller what you said made no sense at all

Why shouldn't it be shown in action? Why should the controller UI be shown all the time?
Bioware has done a lot of telling but not a whole lot of showing beyond one measly screenshot last month. Whereas we had plenty of controller UI footage from the very beginning.
Pardon us PC gamers who play on KB/M for wanting to see their preferred UI. We just want to be assured that it won't suck. Is that too much to ask for?

They will tell you the system requirements when they have required testing done to nail down the minimum specs, they never promised to release it on monday. They said that they'd hopefully have it ready for monday. There's a difference.
Also, why would you ever voluntarily operate under the assumption that everything must suck and be the worst thing ever, probably causes cancer etc. unless proven otherwise? Seems like just unnecessarily causing yourself stress. The PC UI on previous titles have been fine, but now they're out to get the PC players for, I don't know, reasons?
And yes, I am a member of the glorious master race and play with KB+M.
EDIT: Oh, and on the livestream they just had, they stated that they'd have more PC related stuff to show off I think this or next week.

Like a few people said here. We've seen 1 screenshot of a skillbar. Compared to hours of gameplay with xBox gamepad this is not too much and is obviously raising some concerns the closer we get to the release date.
