Bioware, can our female Qunari Inquisitors have pretty hair like the Arishok? Pleeeeease?

arino.jpg

(Seriously, though, look at the texture and detail of his [long] hair... It's magnificent! If it ended in a short ponytail, like the style Leliana had in the Leliana's Song DLC, it would have been PERFECT!)

Male Qunari want pretty hair too!

And cookies.

On the one hand I wish Qunari had better looking hairstyles, on the other hand I like all the pretty horn choices.

OK, totally OT here (it's that time of night/morning where I am): any info yet on whether female Qunari have a sweet tooth too? I won't lie: I'm kind of hoping for an easter egg here where one of the race-specific dialogues tailored to qunquisitors makes a reference to Sten's love of cookies.

I also am disappointed with the hair options for female qunari.   My biggest issues are

A: Hair and Horns together on a slider

B: Too few hair options

I may not play the female qunari that I have been so excited to play, I do not like any of the available options for hair, and can only tolerate two, however they are not available with any of the horns I like.

I would have been perfectly happy playing as an elf if qunari had not been added as playable, however now I feel disappointed that I will most likely be playing an elf due to my disappointment with the qunari hair/horns options.

I appreciate the effort that was obviously put in to make awesome horn options. I understand that you can never please everyone, I'm just sad that I ended up on the "not pleased" side. I am also hoping that I will feel better about my options once I have the game.

P.S. please include new hair options, and hair/horn slider seperation via patch(preferrably) or DLC(would be willing to pay for, especially if bundled with a Mirror of Transformation)

I have a question and I think it's probably most efficiently answered in this thread (wow, 105 pages, really?).

Have seen any male qunari hair options beyond the bald one?  I can think of three male qunari that I've seen and all three are bald.  Do we have any idea of the options for them?

Everything we've seen indicates they're the same options. We've seen the mohawk, mudbun and bald styles.

Ah, okay, thanks.  Definitely a little disappointing, but I'll figure something out.  I guess he'll have to have the bald style since the others don't really gel with my vision of the character.

I'm going with the mohawk I think. They got a pretty good looking Qunari made with the style so I'm OK with it (I am one of the ones who very much likes his protagonists to fall on the pretty boy side of the scale).

I was really hoping to be able to create a qunari who had hair similar to Carver's or Cullen's.  Something that would signal that he is culturally not Qunari.  And since I absolutely despise long hair on a guy, I think the bald option might be best for me.  I am also toying around with the idea of a hornless qunari mage and I'm leaning towards the mohawk style for him.  If I end up making a lady qunair, she'll likely be bald too.  My favorite female orc in Skyrim is bald and she's badass.

I was going to choose a female qunari mage as my first inquisitor, but the hairstyles have me reconsidering that.  Instead, I might bump my intended second playthrough of a female elven rogue up to first place.  Hopefully, by the time I'm ready for a second playthrough with that female qunari mage, there'll be plenty of hair mods available.  Or, quite possibly, some official appearance DLC will be released.  I know that some people always complain about paid DLC, but Bioware made hair DLC for SW:TOR, so I don't see the problem with doing the same for other games.

Anyway, I'm not fully decided.  My first playthrough may still be qunari.  I'll just see how I feel when I get my hands on the game.

For all Qunari females, yes - and that probably means all males too.

I think all other races have been shown as well, though one or two may have been missed.

I have come to express my disappointment and add my voice on this mater. I have followed this tag from the start and agree completely that the hair options that we have are sorly lacking I to would gladly pay for dlc or any other thing they may hopefully release I planned to play a female qunari since first hearing that we where able and as the concept art of them came out I admit it did make me more excited to play one but on witnessing the amazing character creator that we where given it was clear that I would not be able to play the majestic creature I aloud myself to believe. This being said I will play a Female qunari I refuse to be denied the ability to play as my chosen charter because of these disheartening cercomstanses and if and when we get this wich we rightly ask for not demand. I shall then use the mirror to complete my character.

... it kinda bugged me cause what I got from it is that they don't want negative feedback, or that they see negative feedback as just fans hating/whining and not having legimate issues and reasonable & valid concerns that BW could improve and thus make better game...

I think some fans are hating and whiney, and

some fans have legitimate concerns and feedback.

I think BioWare get that perfectly well.

But it's hard to listen to fine music in a wind tunnel.

Once gets drowned out by the other.

While my reason is more shallow and superficial I was also hoping to copy Cullen. Or if not Cullen then Sir Nevalle (sp?) from NWN 2 or Carth (really bugged me we never could get his style in KoTOR.

*Bioware offers players everywhere a  pet cat to love and to own*

Players: YAY!

Bioware: Oh, but we forgot to mention, it's one of those Egyptian hairless cats.  You know, the real creepy ones that would probably frighten small children.

Players:  <_<

Love seeing all the new faces lately! And Tex, we're honored that your very first post was made in this humble thread! Welcome to the BSN :) We don't *always* ****** and moan ;)

On that note, I don't really care if some people view me as being "hating and whiney". I'm not ashamed to admit that I hate the new hair styles, and if it seems like I'm whining about it, it's just because I was SO EXCITED to play as a female Qunari and now I'm not even going to to use her at all.

That's great that other people can get over their disappointment and grit their teeth when it comes to the limited hair options. Me? I'll hold out in the hopes they release a DLC :)

Has there ever been a game that edited the character creator after the game was released. If they did this the character (unless dlc characters are added) would have a unique style

Umm, I don't know. I'm pretty sure there have been RPGs which had expansions that added additional CC options. For example, Neverwinter Nights 2's expansions added new races, new hairstyles and stuff.

Then there are games like The Sims, where new stuff is added to the CC all the time.

I dont think that applies for males because as we have seen, the horns were altered between genders

Dragon's Dogma, one of the Star Wars games... Borderlands lets you alter your chars hair/head gear appearance though there is no CC to speak of. I suppose Saints Row isn't an example, as it is mostly gear that gets added not hair, but you are free to alter your char at any point in the game - even gender swap. WoW has had a bunch of changes made to their CC over the years, are MMO's permitted as an answer? If so, Guild Wars has often offered appearance packs I believe... Then there are a tonne of games that let you buy 'skins'.

Many others, ofc, were modded by players themselves, Skyrim, Fallout... Dragon Age (1&2), Mass Effect... some just add hairs... others (like Skyrim in particular) have entire new systems created that allow you to design your characters in much more depth than seems believable...

I dunno if this actually answers the question xD

How so? Mostly I see size difference, and not shape really... plus all the other races share hairs between genders - and what Qunari Males we have seen share the exact hairstyles available to the females.
