Please rethink qunari hairs.. or lack of them!

I see how the corncrow have textures of buzzuct hair at the sides. Huge improvemant. Still quite sad the limitation of choice, but at least now the corncrow are decent enought for me. (still better than the grandma butt cut and the sad punk mohawke and the insipid shaved head)
Still hoping for a DLC with more choices and the separation from hair and horns, there too many good horn options to being limitated by lack or bad hairstyles.

I'm on an iPad, so I can just use my fingers to zoom in really close, but you should be able to zoom in on a PC, too...

I love them! Especially the second and fourth down on the left.

The second one down on the left could've been the only style in the game and I would've been happy! The "Jack" look is very popular...

Yeah, that's by far my favorite! Bioware, my wallet is open... Give me a hairstyle like that and take all my money!

In all the games I played I haven't seen any suscesful way to resolve hairstyles. It seems a weak point for most games.

Since I got my graphictablet to work for a bit, I tried my hand and did some hairstyles as well. - I'm sorry if some are a bit similar to what Ellisiaro had already cooked up. If so, it was not intentional.
Personally, I just like what now appears to be a mixed cell-shading and "typical" graphics approach to hair.

The first and second on the left...
If only I could have something like that on a hornless Qunari to hide the necrotic lesions on her scalp...

For Valpur both ponytail one's with red strand would have been nice.
If these would also be styles for male qunaris Skye would have loved the bun in the bottom left.

These are gorgeous! Other then the third one down on the left - which needs a bit more volume of hair on the top of the head to be perfect - I would be happy to have these in my game. ![]()

Oh wow, I hadn't realized how awful these were until I saw it all laid out in one place. Luckily a female qunari has never been high on the list of characters I wanted to play, but I totally empathize with all of you. If it had been, the ridiculously poor hair options probably would have turned me away from it. At least for a male qunari I feel like I can settle for a mohawk, even though that's still not really what I had envisioned. There's nothing I would want to use for a female.

Agreed! And we appreciate your moral support!
And yeah, I scrapped any notion of playing a female qunari mage and have resignedly settled on the male qunari mage with a mohawk, although even for that character I would have preferred the long hair of the Arishok/every single qunari in DA:2... :/

This is Sten from DAO, this is how fans see him. Learn it well BioWare, to your fans this is a hornless Qunari.

I don't want to sound like a jerk here and too much a critic, but this looks absolutely nothing like Sten, none of the facial features are right at all. Sten was not a pretty boy/man.

This was concepted by Chad Hardin (I think that's the right name?) for an OFFICIAL Dragon Age comic book.
Note the lack of dark lesions on Sten's scalp between his cornrows.
Honestly, I'm starting to think that we aren't getting a true hornless option because it would require unique reactivity. And perhaps we are only being offered a few choices so that there CAN be reactivity - "Wow, you have impressive horns" or "Wow, you sawed your horns off at the scalp, why?"

I suspect you might be right, and part of me hopes that qunari PCs will indeed get some sort of reaction horn-wise. Frankly, though, I'll have to suspend my disbelief if the hornless mudbun qunari gets either one, having on the one hand no horns and on the other no visible sign of them. While the discolored areas are still there, as far as I can tell, they are really only noticeable in the CC demo if you compare them to the other hornless styles -- there doesn't seem to be enough discoloration under the mudbun style to warrant a comment about horns having been removed. This was exactly why I was hoping to use that style as the closest approximation of Sten's truly hornless state, but (as I said earlier) I might add some horns as a distraction if the texture's too off-putting.

Yeah, definitely nowhere near Sten. The only thing similar are the hair and eye color.
