Here I screened it when the vid came out.

I hope this is still the casual outfit for the Qunari in these colours. I hated the colour of the femquisitors outfit in the skyhold demo. If that one is just for humans it would give me hope that the other races at least will look at least a little bit better than the human did.

Thanks Mikey, I was looking for that.

Thanks for the image! I do like the colors here, and I'm with you in preferring them to the human's from the Skyhold demo. I also think that these colors fit the qunari's skin tone much better, which may be a reason for the difference (if they've actually kept these colors from the alpha build -- fingers crossed!).

I'm so glad it has seperate pants! I was so concerned that it was a white pyjama/kaftan set.

I'm just...  I'm so saddened and disappointed I don't know what to say...  I feel so let down and defeated.  I feel like...  like I'm completely incapable of expressing my own characters in any game, ever...

If anything is close, it's always someone elses character...  when it comes to the player... it feels... we're always screwed...

The frustration is reminiscent of the same struggle I deal with trying to be myself in the real world, and it feels like games never get any better with this...

I only ever get to see characters that are not my own reach the ideals I hope to reach in game with my character but am always unable to...

Is like real life, I'm a woman, but being born in a male body, my entire life is a struggle to simply be recognized as a woman, let alone look anything like I want to be.

Then I go to game, in a game world, where pictures in lore, npcs in games, ect all can look so magnificent and so beautiful.  Some even get to wear dresses, and more feminized outfits.  But like real life, in my struggle to be the woman I am on the inside on the outside as well,  my characters are always stuck with a similar struggle always falling way short.

Is getting to the point where all the excuses just aren't enough.  I've dealt with the excuses with games too long, and the frustration is forcing the parallel of my struggle and the character's struggle to become too pervasive for me.  This may very well be my last dragon age game.  I love the world, I love everything about the game, but this feeling, this frustration is getting to be too much.

For me this is not a minor deal, this is not just hair, or just a dress, or just... so many things...  It causes me actual emotional trauma and frustration.  I'm so tired of the excuses, if it really is hard, I think it's time some real effort is put into finding a way to make it easier or overcome it.  How advanced do we need to become before such things are finally included?

I dunno, I just...  I'm so depressed and feeling so defeated right now...  too many bad things revealed lately, is actually effecting my real life emotional health...  I'm beginning to think I may take my escapes way too seriously, but sometimes they're all I have to escape a horrible life.

With my games starting to feel the same as my real life struggles I'm losing all ability to escape.  It's just been too long, with all the same excuses, I'm tired of waiting, and struggling to accept my characters limitations in game, same as my own in real life.  I can't wait and compromise forever.

I keep forgetting that the Arishok didn't really have the long hair from the CG trailer. I always thought he did.

He did have long hair, but it went down his back rather than over his shoulders

I would except 6 and 10. To my knowledge neither of these two would have any clipping issues. On a less thread related subject it is interesting to see such a great character such as Jack and the styles and concept that they went thru for her character.

I'd take some of those for my PC, regardless of race.  :P

It's also possible that the horns and hair were both allocated from the same bucket of zots.  That is, time spent on the hair would've meant less time spent on the horns.

can't they just had the horns to the hair and merge them together then place the hair/horns on the head instead of making them seperate?

I believe they mentioned a "variety" or a "selection" of casual outfits. Maybe we can change it's color ? Regardless I like that one, looks like what one could wear under armor or something

We aren't out of the woods yet, that pic is from the E3 demo so they could have changed it since then. It could be that horrid brown outfit for everyone.

I'm not super concerned about the casual outfit, bioware has a history of putting out new ones (leather jacket, hoodie and dress/suit from ME3 come to mind) so I'm sure they will do something similar. Hair though, is an entirely different beast.

Were those patched in after release additions though? If I recall correctly, the hoodie was a collector's edition item. I remember always having the leather jacket, but then again I didn't get ME3 at launch.

Hoodie was collectors, N7 jacket was in all versions on launch (as was the leather N7 dress), and the dress suit was new (added in during Citadel DLC) for a mission and cutscenes, but isn't accessible as a casual outfit without modding.

The largest problem is that there isn't anything in game that allows you to change outfits yet. They can't just make a model and add it to a menu, they have to make and patch in a whole new system that allows you to preview the current outfit and change between selections in real time, plus add an interactable that allows you to access said menu. It's far more than people realize, way more than adding new hairstyles or tattoos, or adding a Mirror of Transformation, as the menu it links to already exists. I dunno if they'll consider that expense worth it.... I hope they do though, I'd buy it.

 Excuse you?

DA:O - quannari - cool

DA:2 - quannari - story fine, overall design bad, arishok fine

DA:2 Assasin DLC - bad taste in my mouth

DA3 - Quannari design changed again, Irobull´s voiceover is bad, playable´s character voice will be one of two accents which are out of character

Actually, all Qunari in DA2 had an American accent.

while it`s true, you can describe all quanari in DA2 as Arishok and the others, and their voice was overall good enough, same as for Sten.

ANYWAY, this topic is about Qunari hair, not about why playable Qunari in DAI is a bad thing.

I think FRJ's Iron Bull voice sounds fine. As for the design the only problem is the hair in my view, it didn't make sense for them all to look the same like they did in DA2.
