I've seen one too many of that hairstyle saturate the FPS genre. Sorry but no thanks. Keep that god awful look OUT of my RPG.

i mean the difference is they thought you would like the horn styles more. But you guys still get the same amount of "top of head customization" as others. I mean, it may be highlighting things you don't prefer, but i think the lack of options was more them thinking that the horns would be cooler to most people since it is a unique Qunari thing, so tried to have as many options as possible there instead. But there aren't less options except when it comes to tattoos, but that is similiar to Dalish men having to have tattoos, and not able to have beards. I think that it is mostly even.
Except a lot of the horn "styles" are things like "same horns but with different colored metal tips" or the same horns but broken off and then mirrored with one side broken then the other. Also with the hair you can change the color, with the horns you can't. It's just...awful. I don't understand why they would present Qunari always the same way in previous games and in comics and concept art (long, white hair) and then be surprised when people want to play as that rather than the complete opposite (bald or very short and no texture to boot).

That is not entirely true. There may be a similar number of slider options, but qunari get much less in the way of customization options. Everything the qunari get is a rehash of the same few meshes combined in different ways; 4 hairstyles (if we include lack of hair as a hairstyle) matched with about 9 or 10 horn variants. It's only the mix and match nature that inflates the slider number. Other races get 24 or so unique styles.
Humans/Elves/Dwarves get options 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24
Qunari get A1 A2 A3 A4 A5 A6 B1 B2 B3 B7 B8 B9 C2 C3 C4 C5 C7 C8 D1 D4 D5 D6 D7 D9
The qunari set is divisible by shared features whereas the human/elf/dwarf set is not. Every qunari option contains either A B C or D. So your 'top of head' customization options are variations of 4 different primary options.
Well now I know to stick with stubble if I go with male qunari, cause that beard is pretty awful imo.
I'm never much of a beard person and that beard is...special. So yeah stubble for my males it is.

That male qunari's hair is horrendous. It looks like someone sprayed shaving foam on his scalp, and that beard isn't much better.
Thankfully the hair and beards seem to be the worst thing about the game so far, otherwise it looks very good visually.

The hair texture doesn't look any better. And the red color of the cornrows looks terrible against the green skin shade... It just looks laughably bad. Totally fake. Is this really the best you can do, Bioware? I'm disappointed.

Okay, I know that this qunari beard has terrible texture and clipping. But I am really happy that they at least included beards for male qunari in the first place. I have had my heart set on a bearded qunari and this is really the first time that I've seen more than stubble on a qunari outside of IB in the CGI teaser.

That makeup looked terrible. And that small pinched mouth did not compliment the rest of her face the glossiness of it just made it look worse. The hair was bad ontop of bad.

Well, I for one didn't think the character herself looked particularly good by any means, but you can't really judge anything in that regard when it's the result of a character creator.
Meanwhile, some of the female Qunari they showed earlier back looked excellent, I found.

Frankly, nobody's hair textures look up to par with the rest of the game. Just look at that dwarf they showed recently. Best to just accept that.
