That's part of the package though.*much like the Orcs in Skyrim*

If people really want to play a Qunari they should be willing to tolerate the awful hair if you can't or won't there's three other races with decent hair.

Look It's fair to ask for more/better options for Qunari but some of you are acting like the Qunari options are the only options.

The Qunari options are the only options available for people that really want to play Qunari.

No one is denying that there are other races with other hair out there. All they're asking for is, if the developers are able to do so, to include some additional options in the future. And some are even drawing or digging up photos of options that might be appealing or preferable.

And this is a feedback forum. You're acting as if people coming here and giving feedback in a feedback forum is something that people should instead just sit back quietly and avoid doing.

There's an easy solution for your annoyance.

Leave the thread.

This is not a thread that's being made over and over again. This thread keeps to itself. Just ignore it if it bothers you. Voila. Annoyance avoided.

And those are different issues. Why are you complaining about them here? Also different people complaining about different things. But let's not stop you from sweeping everyone under the same brush like that makes sense.

Do I really have to tell you the ridiculousness of telling someone else how their character behaves and prefers?

Great fine I will go back to watching but if bioware adds hairstyles and people complain you are going to see me again. This community asks bioware to do stuff for them and then commonly they throw it back in their face.

And yeah I'm getting hostile because this stupidity is irritating me.

Whining about people having a venting thread that the devs already allow is pushing my patience levels. Especially considering we keep these complaints here.

Bigdoser, I hope you and others like you are spending as much time and effort in the "Awful Hairstyles" thread in the Scuttlebutt section trying to convince people not to have opinions.

There sure are a lot of people in there with opinions! It'll keep you busy. ;)

So people should have to prove that they really do want to play qunari characters by tolerating something they really don't like? Why? People want to play qunari for different reasons. For many, it's the aesthetic. But the aesthetic isn't just big + horns to everyone. Players want the opportunity to make a character that looks and feels right to them. Maybe they want a qunari who has horns and tolerable hair so they can fully enjoy their character. They shouldn't be forced to sacrifice one to get the other.

Could you people stop arguing ? Ignore the naysayer if it bothers you, escalating the conflict will just risk getting the thread locked

Nope I am just saying normally when this community asks for stuff when they get it they are not quite appreciative that's my only issue.

Ryzaki, I'm sharing your frustrations today.

On topic, I was looking over the suggestions under the 'requested hairstyles' pictures linked to the OP. I'm particularly in love with all of the braided styles. We seem to be lacking in braids overall, though. What I love about braids (and buns) is the illusion of long hair more than anything else. I don't enjoy clipping, so in a way I can accept not having incredibly long hairstyles. But seeing the braids and up-dos and such, I at least get a feeling that in private, my character might be able to enjoy letting their hair down from time to time, but keeps it that way publicly for fashion or practical reasons.

I also just think the braids give Qunari a nice look. The one with the braid wrapping around the horn is nicely done!

Um no actually it won't. The devs will always spend time and resources on something you won't use, on something you find unimportant. I suggest you get used to that now. You are not their only consumer.

doesn't mean I can't give my feedback.

I agree. The illusion of length is almost as important as the length itself. The model doesn't need to be massively complex or incredibly long to give the impression of the character possessing long hair. That's one of the things I like about buns and braids - they're relatively simple but they still give you that feeling of volume.

Your "I don't care about this devs so plz don't do it?" feedback.

Yes I'm sure the devs find that invaluable.

That's not feedback what are you giving feedback on? Even I am fully admitting the purpose of my posting is not feedback but more of concern considering how "fan" requests has turned out in the past.

Nefla, I do find that fitting! I like it.

It's like it was made for her, (the hairline goes back at the corners where horns would go) and it's long and it wouldn't clip and-and- :crying:

There will be someone making a topic saying ZOMG the hair is clipping it looks so bad oh dear bioware how could you do this!? Or people who still don't like the hairstyles created. Lets not forget giving hawke a Feminine walk people requested it from DAO people complained again that it does not look right or some other issue. Then people just modded in male Hawk walking and stance. Give shepard a dress in Mass effect people STILL complained.

People will never stop complaining as long as things that could be fairly easily done right often turn out to be really-bad-and-horrible. Not just mediocre. Horrible. Fem!Hawke walking animations were super-exaggerated. How about 50% less hip sway? FemShep ME3 dress? How about different specular map so it doesn't look as if it was made of plastic? As for qunari hair... we all know what people here think of them so I'll leave that out.

If Qunari women got a female Orc Hairstyle from Skyrim

OrcQunari_zpsf94faf32.jpg

F***ING Beautiful. I love the volume (especially of the bun). The metal accessory is a nice touch.

ANYWAY, can I just say that all the focus on "female qunari" is a bit annoying? Both males and females have the same hair, and speaking as a male-maker I find them unsatisfying as well. I actually find the bun (the actual one) a bit too intricate and 'long' (which I suppose means feminine) for my male Quizzy, but it seems to be the only FULL-HEAD-COVERING hairstyle that allows horns... whaa? Was a short, cropped style with horns too impossible? I doubt it...

Also, manly should not be synonymous with bad, personally I don't find the majority of the hairstyles to be 'mannish' at all. Oh.... and I'M BACK, KADAN!

I am not in game development so I can't say whether its easy or not but when bioware tries to do anything for fans or do their requests all they get is complaints thrown at them. Considering most developers don't even bother doing fan requests I am quite glad that bioware does them its just that afterwards I personally find it quite sickening what some people say the very same people who requested such things.

If that was me in their shoes I would be at the point and say to myself why bother? I mean complaints in general have reached a point where they don't really post on the forums as often any more. If you can design something better then don't ask just get a PC and mod it in.

Considering how dedicated DA fans are I am sure they can crack frostbite. That's why unfortunately I am quite unapologetic when fans requests things from bioware. Apologies if I frustrated some people its just how I feel.

qunari.png

Is this new? Male Qunari only or something? Also, how is it hornless only when IT HAS SPACE FOR HORNS PRE-BUILT INTO THE MESH?

Also, if this is available, and there are no hair DLCs, my FemQunari will rock this. Pure white with charcoal skin, and violet-grey eyes. (She's like, the fifth playthrough on the list, so if Hair DLC does come, she'll have it available to her). My male Qunari.... I just hope these look better in person, since he's my first playthrough.

That's the sad thing about feedback. People generally don't feel inclined to voice their opinions when they like a feature, which leaves the impression that everyone is incredibly and exclusively critical or that no-one likes certain features of your product. Hopefully they realize this.

So let me put this out for the record: Of everything I have seen of DAI, I am satisfied with, or actively appreciate, 95% of it. There is one issue that I have, which is the hair options of the CC, poarticularly for qunari characters. Pretty much everything else looks great.

Now, that doesn't mean people shouldn't voice negative feedback. The message is that there are some things that need to be worked on - and those receive a lot of vocal attention, but there are a lot of things upon which players are silent because they like what they see. But at the end of the day, they're still a company providing a service, and we are paying for that service.

Yeah I haven't seen that style on femqunari. Only on that male stream. I hope it's available for both because my female will rock that too.

That's the one style I'd rocked gladly with some horns too -_-

Especially those beautiful going back then up horns. But nope. No horns for that style.

Of course because it has happened repeatedly been around these forums for a long time well I more or less was a lurker saying my input here and there. Still I maybe wrong that it may not happen this time but considering past experiences and what has been said before sorry to say I am not exactly hopeful so to speak.

The thing is this time I HOPE I am wrong I would like to see more hair styles because you lot have been quite civil and constructive as I said apologies if I agitated you lot and frustrated some of you. Its just past topics has kinda made me you know cynical so to speak. Since some stuff I have read in the past was quite disgusting so to speak, of course from I have seen none of you are like that.

What the? Are you a fortune teller? You don't want us to have something that we passionately care about and that wouldn't be insanely difficult because...we might complain after getting it? What? You realize the people asking for things aren't the same people who complain when they get those things right? The people who wanted LadyHawke's sexy model strut for DA:I aren't the same ones complaining that the sexy model strut is in DA:I, for example. If BioWare did give us a DLC with some decent looking hairstyles I would sing their praises from the rooftop. You're being preemptively vindictive against the wrong people.

I find all of them except the mudbun to be masculine :( also I don't mean to say that manly is bad, I just don't want "manly" on my female characters unless I choose to rp a tomboy type character.
