People are asking patch or DLC here to introduce more hairstyles for qunaris. I don't get why us asking this and having this thread is out of anyone. This is feedback section where people ask things. If hair is not important to you this isn't thread for you either.

It's just, when have they ever fixed something as substantial as hair after the game has gone gold? Ever? Never. If this was 3 months ago I would be optimistic, but it's too late. The ship has sailed, and Bioware isn't fixing it. That's why I figure you either adapt like I'm trying to or give up on Qunari Inquisitors. You're just going to be disappointed to hope so much that Bioware will fix this and the reply be... Nothing.

Since you have seemed to have missed it, andy, Biowar devs have actually said that they might will be adding new hair. Post release:

http://forum.bioware...hem/?p=17777227

Besides, my point still stands. This is your opinion, and that's fine. But trying to convince us of it won't accomplish anything except talking in circles. We still have hope that Bioware adresses this concern. You don't. And as long as the devs don't outright say that we won't be getting any new hairstyles whatsoever, people will continue to talk about it here.

Andy I recagnise that everyone has there own way of dealing with things and we all have a right to freedom of speech But that doesn't mean you get a free pass to bag on people and demand everyone see it your way you are taking this out on the rong people. People who are exercising their right to express the ideas and concerns in a (feedback and suggestions blog) we are not doing anything rong so please if this affects you to much you don't have to come here and disrespect these people just ignore the blog and allow the people here to continue voicing their concerns thank you.

I actually said earlier that they might bring in new hair. But like the vanilla Dragon's Dogma which I brought up already, I'm fully expecting them to make it paid DLC. No way EA won't make Bioware get a profit out of it. So yeah, it might get fixed... If you're willing to fork them cash over to fix it. If they fix it for free by adding in new hairstyles with a patch, I will be impressed.

I doubt we'll see a patch or dlc for the character creator, but at least we can let bioware know for the next game that we'd like a variety of hairstyles for our characters. They did a phenomenal job with the CC so far, but unfortunate to say, it seems they did better in the past with Star Wars the Old Republics character creator, which I hope they begin to strive for. I mean, they already took a hint to include scar options again, so they're already learning. Maybe next time we can have physique options as well make a comeback from SWTOR.

We are hoping something similar than DA2 had where you could change your look in during the game. Mirror of transformation was it. Another option would be something like armor back that would include hairstyles as well that fit to theme of whole pack.

For future games it is important to give feedback on this issue as well so BW will see what people want in their games too..

So, after some soul searching, while I'm still disappointed in them offering a whopping 4.5 hair styles, I think I've made peace with the mohawk for my male qunari and the bun for a female if I ever get around to playing one.

I think I will use bun for male qunari. My female qunari playthrough has to wait until the hair options get better. It might be infinite wait..

I was tryng to make myself like the mohawk. But the total baldness at the sides of it make if feel as if a female have only that patch of hair. :/

It stands and is bad to look at.

I can somehow go for the bald on a male character, sometime I even found it charming, (eh, I'm gonna romance Solas, and I find him quite attractive) but not for the female ones. It make me feel that baldness is result of a illness.

sigh. Why so many (unnecessary and not required) type of buzzucutt in the others races, and none on the Qunari? At least with the buzzcut you know you have hair.

I really hope for a hair patch/DLC not only for the Qunari, even if surely is the race that have more need fot it, but for all the races. Chin lenght hair and bangs are almost extinct in DAI. <_<

I don't give a crap if it's free, provided the quality and selection is good. If they offer new hairstyles I want, I will pay for them.

For those who play with older gen consoles (like me..) or PC with mininum to medium graphic settings the hair will look even worse than in pictures posted on OP and here. XBOX360 and PC with mininum settings have shiny bug in hair and beards and lips that transfers armors shine to those as well. Outcome looks like this:

ScreenShot350_zps3377e47e.jpg

And that's human hair that is supposed to be better looking than qunari hair. I just wonder how qunari hair will look in low graphic PC's and older gen consoles..

Seriously this hair thing is getting ridiculous. BW should poured half more resources to hair obviously and cut anything else out, be it from story or combat IDCAF.

Nah we should've gotten less than 30 goddamn mount reskins and got less crappy hair more like.

I won't like it either, but I'd appreciate that they at least listened nonetheless. Besides, I know how hard it is to make a profit in the video game industry, so I will cut them some slack so long as the price is reasonable. It'd be better than just relying on mods too. That way, everyone, including console owners, would have access to em.

Free, would be preferable though. I mean, like, duh.

This is feedback thread for lack of options. This is not: Let's discuss qunari hair thread. Those who are happy with options can make feedback thread for Bioware with telling them that. It'd be lot better than coming to there saying: no negative feedback is allowed! this is not problem for me!

If I make a female qunari, which was never too likely because of my love for elves, I'll probably use the mohawk if there's no other option. I kind of hate buns.

I know Im super late to the discussion but I just saw the 4 hair options and I am sooo incredibly disappointed. I was really excited to play a female Qunari, but that hair is so ugly I doubt I will be able to stand looking at it for 80+ hours. I will shelve my Tal-Vishoth Inquisitor until hopefully someone cracks Frostbite and makes a hair mod, or they release a DLC. Man, what a shame.

This is like the female Worgen all over again.

Also, I am laughing at the guys trying to argue relaistic hair for mercanaries and helmet-hair in a game where dragons fly above us and portals open up to spew deamons while our mage friend shoots fireballs.

The realistic/plausible argument is all about internal consistency of the in-game world.

It's not about the fact that the world we live in doesn't have dragons or magic, but making sure the game follows its predetermined laws of physics and logic.

@andy Why do you insist on coming back here all the time and arguing about this? We wish for more hairoptions and just want to keep the thread going so Bioware sees people still want this. We are not just gonna drop everything because somebody comes in here and tells us how ridiculous our wish is and tries to explain why. You don't see it as an issue, good for you. We do. We have been polite about it, we have been sticking to this thread, we haven't bombarded the devs with demands or death-threats.
So why come here and start needless arguments. We are not gonna budge from our position. And really, is our critique/wish really that outrageous that you have to convince us of its foolishness? We are not demanding another set of voices for the Inquisitor, or extra castles for each of our companions. We don't demand to see this or that character (which would be tied together with modeling, voice acting, scripting of events and cinematic sequences.)

All we want is a few more hairoptions for qunari, that are rendered on the same level as the rest of the hair. As patch, or even as paid DLC. That's it.

What do you mean I can't have an individual castle for each companion and advisor? You big bully! :P

I've been follwing this thread for a while and as most of us I want more hair for the qunari and it kind of bother me that there isn't a full confirmation about a patch or dlc wich I hope will be there soon.

No, I get that. But there is a difference between "internal consistency" (as in chainmail bikinis and boob windows on women are a stupid idea) and saying we shouldn’t have long hair options cuz realistically it will get matted under the helmet. Like, you are gonna worry about the realism of helmet-hair when dragons spit in the face of physics?

Lol, except in this world dragons don't spit in the face of physics :P

I'd actually be okay with a realistic scene and instead of getting this:

prince-charming-hair-o.gif we get this: SIF-8.png

Even messier would be fine with me actually. I like plausibility.

I hope they put in the mirror of transformation at some point, that thing was a lifesaver in DA2! I'm so picky about the CC that if my character is messed up or not the way I want them to be then I will start all over again even if I'm several hours into the game but the mirror let you tweak on the fly and also change Hawke's hair as the years went on. At least DA:I doesn't have the CC at the end of a long unskippable cutscene *froths at the mouth at ME2*

Here's something I don't get, and have been trying to wrap my head around for some time and just can't.

The horns as an asset limit what hairstyles you can have. I understand that. Options that would involve bangs would be a no go and I get that. In fact, if we had to have all our styles be towards the back, I wouldn't mind at all. Here's what I can't wrap my head around though.

But why can't we have a ponytail? It's such a simple thing really, you wouldn't even need to change the front style for the bun option. Just something to maybe hint at longer hair.

3926-1-1407236145.jpg

^ That was too much. That would have made your horns invert into your skull through clipping or made your inquisitor have texture issues? We already got a mohawk, why not a mohawk and ponytail? We already got cornrows, why not cornrows and ponytail? Heck, we got cornrow ponytails in dragon age origins for petes sake, we know you can do that.

Its one of those little things that wouldn't have required much more effort but was overlooked, probably because they had to do a lot of work on the other features of the game, maybe even the character creator itself.

But I'm personally getting over it. Still salty about it, but I see it as a learning experience rather then a lingering disappointment. What is life, but a series of mistakes to be bridged and improved on?
