I agree with all of this.  I was all set to make myself a nice long-haired Qunari - like the example card, only to find that it's just not possible.  Ridiculous!

What's worse is that it seems that a lot of the game armors simply won't work on a Qunari.  Since it seems that Bioware won't, I'm hoping we see some mods soon.

It's more than just the Hair, but that is a huge issue with the style of the Qunari characters. Particularly because it is very difficult to recreate the facial features similar to the concept art images in the CC. Better hair would definitely go a long way, but there are also other issues that ought to be addressed.

 

The lack of unique armor for the Qunari is also pretty disappointing. I think Iron Bull gets some customized special armor but Qunari Inquisitors are pretty much out of luck.

I was hellbent on making a Qunari pre-release, but ultimately decided against it when the hair options turned out to be so bland and uncomplimentary. I would have really loved more options in hair; I could live with less horn choices.

Maybe it should have been the other way around 3-4 horn options, and at least 12 hair styles.

I don't care if hair looks bad. My Qunari is absolutely fantastic she's the first character I created. It was around 2:00 AM and I was super-tired after a long day of work but... I HAD TO PLAY. Or at least, to create my Inquisitor. I think that she turned out gorgeous, CC is simply awesome, regardless of the hair options.

We've heard you, and It's awesome that you're so passionate about your future Inquisitors. We'll be shipping with the horn and hair options we have now. We may look into this post release but no guarantees.

I don't think Bioware has done much commenting on new features and such like this. Any comments they've given, which is few, have been only on the subject of the issues that have been brought up by users regarding stability and bugs. They've likely been primarily focused on their upcoming patches.

 

No one has any idea or clue what kind of plans they have for add-ons, content creation, or expansions and DLC. I've never heard any talk of that sort from them prior to or since release.

We know. This thread was started well before release, and we've pretty much let it simmer whilst bugs and issues Take precedence. I mean, I have the no banter bug in my game... I'd rather see that fixed than more Hair right now.

Thanks for not telling us we're poopers for caring about this though makes a nice change

I ended being able to make a pretty satisfying one. Since the bun is a stern and austere style I made the face sharp, tough and older looking, like she's about 40 or so. She looks like a serious veteran so I'm pretty happy with it. The only problem is, that's pretty specific so I couldn't make another different one

Although, maybe we should wait for news about the incoming patch ?
I doubt it will add more options, as this is not a pressing issue.

(I mean I can't even play the game right now without one of my GPU melting)

But maybe we'll get more infos about a possible change, or maybe it will change something with the engine and break everything

if they will make hairs for u guys thats great  but i think that  might be included more in a DLC  then a patch ... patches usually are for fixing bugs

Bioware has some major caca on its hands and have no time looking at silly things like hair styles.

 

As far as armour is concerned it is what it is and won't change. BW announced early in the game development  that each character was to keep its armour "style"  That is what we got...

 

Modding is the only way you can completely re-armour a character or introduce "proper" hair and styles.

Well, they apparently said that they would fix a lot of things regarding the PC version and controls, so there's always hope
But yeah, you're certainly right.
That being said, I wouldn't mind paying (not too much) for a DLC fixing that.

Obviously, it would be better if it were free, but I'd take it anyway

Modders are currently trying to mod some hair in Inquisition included some new qunari hairstyles so PC players will probaply soon have nice hair for qunaris as well ^^ Maybe after DAI is patched up BW has time to do some hair for console players. I at least will refrain playing female qunari before there is decent hair ^^

Played a male Qunari with the mudbun as my third character and gave him the jet black skin and black hair so it's not too noticeable most of the time but...

@Adela They're lovely! Much more dramatic and fun than the ones in game. The first one would massively suit the char I'm currently playing xD

The thread is pretty quiet though :/ can't blame it, there's some pretty severe issues with the game right now. But I saw in another thread someone making hairs for human? And I got all excited about someone doing the same for Qunari, so YES PLEASE AND THANK YOU TO YOU!!!!
