To revisit this topic, I don't think Bioware can even blame clipping issues with the lack of good hair for qunari since DAI has so many blatant clipping issues everywhere in the game so if they don't really care about clipping. Also I hate the blatant design errors qunari hairstyles have, especially the mudbun. There is bald spot in top of qunaris hair with that hairstyle and two hair spots that don't look they belong to hairstyle top of qunari's ears. These hairspots also are always different color than rest of hair just to make it more obvious.

Agree so much especially on the clipping the first run I did the first one I had my character's hair clipping through her forehead for most of the game it was the short pony tail style and I didn't adjust the forehead at all but it still clipped through for well over half the game  <_<

I really would just like to recreate DA2 qunari. Those guys were pretty awesome (I may have had a crush on the Arishok). In DAI, I'm glad I get to play as one, but really the lack of anything remotely "Qunari" about our character dulls the fascination.

Agree! I thought they looked super cool in DA2! When I heard we were getting the chance to play qunari I was super excited. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that when they said "qunari" what they meant was "tall humans". Like, I dunno about male qunari since I havent bothered looking at them, but the ladies seriously look like they just took humans and attached these stupid thin horns to their foreheads at a really strange angle. (Am I the only ones who feels like there are only 2-3 horn types that dont look awkward?) And you cant even give them a big forehead cuz then the horns clip through.

Still holding off on playing this game until this feature is fixed.  Butt-ugly Qunari that match none of the box art, or even the portrait you see when you select the race is just plain lazy.

Don't be so shallow. You're missing on a great experience just because of personal physical tastes.

You're going to be waiting a long time. I am as irked with the available hair options as anyone, especially for the Qunari, and I continually advocate for more and better hairs.

About A: You're missing out on a game that is truly terrific (other than the hairs :P) and B: Even if we get the additional hair options so many of us want, I highly doubt they will be the long, flowing locks of the Qunari concept art.

For some reason the skin colors for qunaris seem to be different on my PS3 than in CC trailers and other people's screenshots. I don't have grey nor jet black skin, instead I have human skin colored (white) and some kind of brownish instead of jet black. I'd prefer if BW would fix this one as well cause I want my qunaris at least look like qunari skin-wise..

And I can't even have freckles. Sigh I'm really so disapointed with PS3's CC.

I was so happy when BW announced that there will be freckles cause I love freckles : ( And before I bought PS3 version of the game I had no idea they were excluded. I knew about scars but not about qunari skin colors being different and that there isn't freckles for some races. It's odd that they have been removed : /

The lack of freckles and scars were a huge disappointment to me when I got the game those were the features I was looking forward the most and really wish it had been said somewhere that the old gens didn't get those things. (if it was said I must have missed it but still wish I had known) As for the skin thing I have noticed a few of the in between skins looking more fleshy but I still have a dark grey/blackish skin tone for my qunari, shockingly though no bronze which is saddening was really looking forward to bronze.

I'm very sad for PS3/Xbox360 players  :( I love scars and frecles on my characters, I would have felt a little heartbroken to not have them in game.

but the hair...I'm quite annoyed, since DA2, that had even a much less powerful engine, time developmant and all, had better hair than DAI. <_< (sorry. Is something I can't digest.)

No the scars weren't mentioned before release either, people were tweeting after it and Mike Laidlaw confirmed that they removed them intentionally- before confirmation people thought it was bug ^^;

They really should have been imo I had a mini freak  out thinking it was a bug or thinking that scars were removed for female PCs, actually set the game aside for a few days because I was that bummed about it, I was -really- looking forward to some big amazing scars.

Heart break was what I felt I actually scrapped a character I was planning because I couldn't picture her without scars (yeah i know sounds silly) I honestly was expecting bad hair so I was hurt less by that cause I saw it coming though the lack of any good braids does sting still and the qunari hair all together. (couldn't even give my male qunari cornrows with no horns which was lame)

Old Gen player wheren't, honestly, very well treated prerelease. There where very few news about the PS3/Xobx360 version of the game, and only few days from release date.

To be completely honest I probably would have waited for the price to go down a little if I had known about all the differences between the too, this was not a good game to have a first preorder experience too. I think I may go back to sticking with waiting for price drops from now on.

That's probably what I would have done too if I was going to play on old gen (of course if the problems where known... :bandit: )

The hairstyles are bad on many levels, for all the races, not only Qunari.

The choices of styles are more than questionable, since seem more rip off  of some COD or leftovers from Mass Effect, but surely not hair good for a fantasy game with medieval and reinassance influences. The hair of the gray portraits that show the elf, human and dwarf redesign where perfect, and in line with the older chapter of the serie, expecially with DAO, where there where many cute braided styles. :(

Can't get why the change of style, since is not as if creating those bad corncrows, the mudbun or any of the others styles for the others race was harder than creating a good braided style.

Since release in EU was later than NA I actually got to know about problems before I bought my copy so I waited until this month to actually buy the game. And it's not still in the good condition I must say, like I have crash every 5 hours or so which can't be good for my system.

Still no word by devs about hairstyles, and expecially for the Qunari? I don't have a twitter account, and I'm not too much here on the forum, nor I have always time to find out things. Since the Black Emporium and the mirror of transformation will came out, I was hoping for some news about hairstyles...or at least a comment. Even the PJ question had some kind of answer... (that wasn't a real answer. it was more "is possible, but we aren't thinking about doing it")

I haven't heard anything at least. I think someone would have made thread about it though if there was info about new hairstyles since hair is quite commented issue and people would love to get some new hairstyles.

Yeah, I've thought that... :(

Sigh. I hope the message will be heard, than...but I have my doubt. Seem like this is one of those issue that will never be taken in consideration.

It's entirely possibly that they're being worked on. This is, after all, one of the most common issues players have with the game, as is evidenced by the 10 bajillion thread about the topic.

In-game character customization was also a pressing issue that many were asking for. Bioware made no comment on this, and then poof! We're getting black Emporium DLC.

I think a dev. addressed this earlier in a tweet. It's not that they "won't" discuss future patches or DLC. They "Can't" discuss patches or DLC until they are 11% locked-in.

I'm still skeptical. But this recent patch is giving player an awful lot of what we were asking for. Hell, the Black Emporium idea came straight from these very forums.

So I'm optimistic, albiet cautiously so, about getting a few new 'dos in the future.

I'd be happy with real hairstyles for the human and elven women, especially long hair. DAO had better options!

My female elf hairstyle!!! (and still one of the few hairstlyles I can stomach...)

Still, it may be one of the styles who had a lass "manly" hairline...
