The hornless option is ridiculous though. It's not even a real option. You're not hornless, you're given ugly stubs that look like giant bruises.

it almost looks like instead of breaking or sawing off the horns, they just straight up pulled them out and the wound healed over the elevated part of the skull that's connected to the horns  :P

What do you mean by "hair was already being made" though?  Like, the hair options for the other races?

I think they mean hair for the Qunari, as in the three styles of hair(the mohawk, the cornrows, and the small bun) that they have other than bald.

XD staph. my ribs!

To add it's very possible that if we show that there is an interest for additional hair styles DLC that we can get some official longer hairs, so count me in that boat. I have literally 100s of hair styles for female PCs in Skyrim and I would of bought pretty much any hair pack Bethesda put out, the same is true for this game. (I may have a problem with armor and hair mods, as I likely have over 50 armor mods and a dozen hair mods).

Yeah same. SO MANY BEAUTIFUL SKYRIM HAIR MODS. I can't imagine playing without them now. (Heck I refused to even start before I modded the CC god default Skyrim cc was fugly).

Ah well. I'm done. It's bed time. Been nice knowing you, my fem qunari character idea.

Humans and elves... here I come.

Sweet dreams!

And yes I shall join the human master race

I wouldn't have a problem with the limited hairstyles if they were diverse. My issue is they all look the same. I don't have a problem with short hair-there can be a lot of variety in it, but these all look near identical to me.

You must have missed fem!Trevelyan demo then. She rocked that long-haired undercut. Which would look epic with horns. But no, can't have it.

And again, I do not really care for horn options. It would have been nice cherry-on-the-top feature, sure, but I do not need them as a replacement for hair. So default horn style+hornless would have been enough for me if we got the same variety for hair as humans.

I never said long hair wasn't shown until the CC was locked (although I don't actually know when it was) I said long hair wasn't shown for ages. That demo being the first time it was shown.

If you want the verity of hair humans have then play human, Qunari have horns and it would be boring if there was only one option.

They eventually figured out people love hair-styles in SWTOR and released additional style packs which were wildly popular, so it's certainly possible.

Seriously I knew so many people who just got milked by hair style packs in Guild Wars 2 and SWTOR, I mean I barely even play Guild Wars 2 anymore and I still want to get the hair style packs, 8 of them (it's a character specific recustomization that unlocks new hair options)!

Okay, due to the revelation of..... this

I will now throw my lot in with the "aw hell naw" crowd.

Necrotic blotches on my head?

Do not want.

I guess I will have to pick horns now for my Qunari man.  Perhaps those curling ram ones will do.  Yes, surely Dorian would think those were fabulous.

The tree is intended to be off-putting, for the stage play is incredibly off-putting (and centered around the off-putting tree, from which the main characters frequently consider hanging themselves). :D

They did in SWtOR :(

Like Kallen said, the Qunari female got hair, someone modeled hair for her, it just looks horrible and the chosen styles are not only awful but nearly identical. Some of the mockups I posted (the last one in particular) wouldn't have taken any more effort than what ended up actually being made.

I actually don't mind it looking like the horns just didn't grow in. I'd always assumed that's just what happens when you're a Qunari who's hornless.

Hair was already being made though, couldn't one of them be at least somewhat attractive? Every one of them is straight up awful. Why was the facial modeling so detailed and had so much effort put into it and the hair such an afterthought? :(

baldqun_zps9a66cdef.jpg

I'm too busy laughing at this point.

That looks so terrible. (Also the mohawk has it too so if you wanna have a hornless qunari with mohawk I hope you plan on using the jet black skin).

So you feel it was an aesthetic choice then?  Just making sure I understand your perspective.

Not on Sten.  No spots/stubs/nubs whatsoever.

Nope that looks pretty bad too.

Why is there such a large bald spot between her ear and the first braid? Maybe it's cause I'm used to my nappy hair but what is that?

Anyway craters are still there.

I just

At least longer/thicker hair could've covered that mess.

It actually makes sense if you think about it ( well to me anyway) the qunari are suppose to be a race of horned giants. hornless qunari are just qunari who's horns never formed. So it would make sense for there to be something there to show where horns would have been if they did form.

I can imagine making all those horn options and making sure they work in the game would be at least as difficult and time consuming as making the hairstyles for the other races. Horns are specific to the qunari too, so that's time and resources specifically for qunari customisation. Maybe creating a new slider full off new or modified hair options just for the qunari would have taken too much time or meant far too much work specifically going into qunari customisation? They already did the horns so that's a lot of extra work just for the qunari, yes I am disappointed with what we got but I am not sure if it's as easy as some of you are saying.

This forum did not have the appropriate emote to express how I feel about the female Qunari's hair so I went to a different forum and brought one back face_barfcat_zps6b720227.gifface_barfcat_zps6b720227.gifface_barfcat_zps6b720227.gif

They have detailed sliders for adams apples, lip shine, etc...and those ugly, poorly modeled abominations are our only choices for female Qunari hair? We have to stare at chunky blobs and lesions the whole game? She can't even wear a helmet or hood to hide her shame.

No clue. Maybe it was more convenient that way?

I just don't see why they wouldn't give hairless Qunari long hair to hide that if anything. Why would you want to to be so visible? (which it is with the short styles).

Okay I'm not even mad anymore this is hilarious. So much truth. Really some volume for the hair wouldn't have been out of place.

It really does.

I just tell the truth! Vive la.... something!

The worst part is, I'm very afraid that this is the only 'polish' we're going to see, that.... those.... will be ingame. Not only on our Qunair, but on a huge bunch of NPCs.

Yea, but I doubt they'll one just for hair in a character creator

True but as others have suggested they could include it in a dlc that let's you change your appearance later in the game like the black emporium mirror, something they've indicated they're thinking about and might like to do if it works out.

Honestly I would have liked more hair options or at least some of the options available to other races maybe any of the styles that didn't fall over the face and probably many of the ones with the shaved head at the side and hair on top (long or short) as they seem less likely to cause clipping issues. If there's a possibility of adding it to a dlc later great, in the meantime I'll play with what I've got.

If you want the verity of hair humans have then play human, Qunari have horns and it would be boring if there was only one option.

I like the horn options and if the 3 short hair styles were more different to each other I probably would have been less disappointed. I don't necessarily care about hair length but other people do so to me the more options the better then everyone has a higher chance of finding something they like. I never expected the variety humans have but 4 (counting bald) isn't very many so a few more would have been nice and again with more differences to each other.

@Nefla, I really like the 2nd and 3rd hair styles on the top row (counting left to right) and the first 3 on the bottom row of your mock up but they all look pretty good... the one that surprises me most is number 2 on the top row because I usually don't like long hair but I really like that.  :D

On the other hand, then not having tattoos means that what would have gone to those could have gone to a few other hairstyles.

And before someone brings up the Vitaan face paint, I consider that under the people responsible for armors instead of CC.
